On this day 1963, but for a spectacular Sandy Brown OG, Thistle would've sat top of the league... in March! Read all about it... 👀

On this night 2019, the 33rd Scottish Cup Quarter Final and Jags were dreaming of getting back to Hampden...

Mon-04-Mar-2019 Partick Thistle 1 Heart of Midlothian 1 (Scottish Cup Quarter Final) →

That side should never have been anywhere near bottom of the Championship. Yes there are a few duffers, but a squad with McDonald, Elliott, Penrice, McMillan, Spittal, Fitzpatrick, Cardle and Doolan should be comfortably top half.

forgot McDonald!

On this rainy night 2002, the 27th Scottish Cup Quarter Final... and the Jags book their place in the last 4... 👀

I think "rainy" must be the under-statement of the century! Words like monsoon come to mind. The torrential downpour did not cease all the way up and down the A9. It was the sort of weather that prompted Noah to build the Ark.

Curious: Anybody know if that's a genuine picture of the match-day crowd that day?

That photo is a fascinating peice of social history- ten years after the war and a vast number of the crowd are still wearing their demob coats!

On this day 1921, Thistle were in the middle of an incredible 15 (FIFTEEN) game unbeaten run in the Scottish Cup. On a Tuesday afternoon, 30,000 were at Firhill (original stand depicted in 1925) for the Quarter Final replay with Motherwell...  👀
