DenisOhDenis
They don't seem very far away and the sight-line fits with them being the chimneys of the Firhill Iron Works in Panmure Street, shown in this 1909 map. (By the way, if you haven't come across it before the National Library of Scotland's map site at https://maps.nls.uk/ is a fantastic source for historic maps) Correction - it's not very clear what's what in the map but I think the chimneys are more likely part of the glass works. JeanieD
In a way it must have broken Roddy's heart to put 3 past St Johnstone - not that we should be complaining.
jaggy
Not like Louis Thow to ignore a blatant decision that should have been in our favour! He seemed to dislike us for some reason

Remember that game and that run of wins well. Don’t want to nitpick, but I think Roddie McDonald was also a “future Jag” ? Under Lambie first time around.

Not at all Lance, great shout, 8 eyes are better than 4 and all that! We try to apply good database principles e.g. unique names for all Thistle players. The "other side" hasn't been tightened quite as well (although we're getting there). Our man was down as "Roddie MacDonald" in all his Celtic appearances but "Roddy MacDonald" in all of his games for Thistle, Hearts and Morton, hence why he was overlooked in all his green & white hoops games when the future/former task was undertaken some years back. We've settled on Roddy throughout and he's now duly in line all over.
