Got notification I've been unsuccessful re ticket ballot. I'm a ST holder. Hopefully there'll be a further allocation.

Same as you LIB , got an email to say I was unsuccessful

Seems a crazy way of allocating tickets with potentially someone who has only bought a “ Jags for Generations “ ticket this year

I’ve had a season ticket for circa 40 years and I also pay for Jagzone already so it wasn’t worthwhile buying a “ Jags for Generations ticket “

My daughter who is also a season ticket holder didn’t even get the email to apply for the ticket !

Not a good look if season ticket holders aren't getting a ticket for this match. 1600 should be plenty for just everyone who wants a ticket to get offered one.

Hopefully the club have a look at what is going on and update fans accordingly.

I paid for the Jags for generation season ticket.

I was already a jagzone member and season ticket holder so paying the extra money for the generation option was partly to help the club and partly to have a chance at getting a ticket for the Queens Park away fixtures. Who knew we would make 2 quarter finals this year so in that sense I've been fortunate.

I've only just bought my ticket for the cup game against St Mirren so I would assume there will be some Jags for generation that don't take up their allocation so possibly more available to season ticket holders later this week.

However I thought we had more than 1600 season ticket holders so were we not always likely to not have enough? Its not like the Elgin game were the distance would put a lot off, this is as away fixtures go very close and equally a very attractive game

Based on St Mirren's recent form is it possible they don't sell their allocation and we get a bit more?

I'm also a generation season ticket holder. TBH I looked at the cost of the generation ticket and it was the same (or less than) the combined cost of jagzone and a season ticket so that was a no-brainer. The option of first offer of cup tickets and Queens Park league tickets was an added extra.

With the unbought generations allocation going back in the pot, at the end of this week for season ticket holders, some more are likely to be offered the chance to get a ticket. There may even be enough for a general sale.

I think it is a bit unfair that fans who did not take up an offer which would have guaranteed them a ticket are now complaining that they may not get one with some even suggesting that some underhand shennanagins are going on. We always take a large percentage of our season ticket numbers to away games. Did anyone think this stage of the Scottish Cup and a short distance away would be any different?

At the last update in the weekly newsletter end of August it stated we had sold 2544 season tickets, no idea how many of them are Jags For Generation, how many are Kids go Free, or how many were Jags For Good ones that went to the community.

Yeah would have been quite easy to put the numbers out there pre ballot to let everyone know roughly what there odds would be.

I think one of the main issues and there is a bit of irony here, being a ‘ fan owed Club ‘ there has been absolutely no transparency from our Club in terms of what the allocation actually is from St Mirren and even the cost of said tickets .’

Goes with the way our Club is being run just now .

Same with me. Staying in Renfrew this would have been a shorter drive for me than going to Firhill. Hope i manage to get a ticket for our semi final tie. :D :fan:

I thought it was roughly 1600 for the away stand at St Mirren ?

You’re right , it’s 20% of their 8000 capacity

Possibly the issue is the Club is buying in batches and obviously any not sold we pick up the cost for

Hopefully we’ll get more tickets

Saw somewhere else its 1120

500 Tickets went to Jags for Life ST Holders - a number “retained” by the Club - so guessing maybe 400- 500 to the 1200 Standard ST holders

Yeah its more the lack of transparency as usual. Any other ticket sale we have had or any other club does where a pre sale is involved it would say allocation is X amount and we have X amount of season ticket holders or in this case X amount of JFG members.

We all know the size of the stand at St Mirren so it certainly lends itself to speculation why the club would not put those numbers out. That only leads me to believe the number of tickets that has been retained is high. Otherwise why would you not put this info out.

The way the sale has been handled is bonkers as well, could have been JFG sale Friday to Monday, then you would know exact amount for the ballot, put that info out and inform folk Tuesday and they could have there sale Wednesday to Saturday and then anything left public sale next week with that number informed of how many left if any. The way they have done it is they have irked folk off who might get a ticket in the end anyway.

One of these situations where there is no way to win. Had the club waited until the allocation to JfG had been claimed before the ballot was started for season tickets the complaints would no doubt have been that the timescale was then too short and general sales tickets couldn't be offered or sold in time.
