The way the sale has been handled is bonkers as well, could have been JFG sale Friday to Monday, then you would know exact amount for the ballot, put that info out and inform folk Tuesday and they could have there sale Wednesday to Saturday and then anything left public sale next week with that number informed of how many left if any. The way they have done it is they have irked folk off who might get a ticket in the end anyway.

They certainly have irked this season-ticket holder: my life can't be left on hold while the club hums and haws over whether tickets will be offered or not. I've finally been offered one, but by this time I have other plans and won't be able to go. Adroitly adopting an anti-marketing strategy calculated to annoy loyal supporters. 🤡

Was there any other way this could have been handled? Be good to hear from you how.

This would not have worked. The office is not open over the weekend so JFG tickets could not have been paid for.

They could have been invoiced and paid for via fanbase as season ticket holders done this week surely?

Were they? From previous reports it would only have been general sales available through fanbase.

I have been trying since 10.00. nothing on Fanbase..St.mirren are not listed.. Jags only have our upcoming games..

I can only assume there aren't any but to have to wait till nearly an hour and a half after they said sales will take place and still not have an update is frankly a joke

No tickets going on general sale?

would be class if the club could have provided some update

I doubt it. I know season ticket holders who were unsuccessful in the 2nd ballot. They bought home tickets for the family zone. That seems to be what many Jags fans are doing

Lucky we don't have away all-ticket quarter finals too often.

Son and I are (non JFG) season ticket holders.  We both applied for tickets but only he was successful in the first ballot.  Last Friday he paid for his ticket plus £3 for the postal option as we live in Edinburgh.  I was notified on Monday that I'd been successful in second ballot but no postal option.  (I'm not sure why digital tickets weren't an option - presumably that was St Mirren's call).

So I jumped on a bus on Tuesday afternoon and came through to collect my ticket from Firhill.  Thinking I could possibly pick up my son's ticket while I was there I asked if the first ballot tickets had been posted out.  I was told they had.

Thanks for reading this far, if you have you've probably guessed where this is going.  My son got an email from Firhill late this afternoon (after PTFC office hours) reminding him his ticket is awaiting collection from Firhill.

Hopefully something can be worked out over the phone tomorrow.  Anyone else had a similar experience?

It's quite ridiculous tbh.

How many fans are actually lost because there's no or little chance of a walk up to games.

The ground won't be full and we'd probably have taken over 2k fans under different circumstances.

Turning up to a game unannounced and seeing the size of the crowd was part of the fun.

You could now virtually name who's sitting where before you turn up.

Safety's one thing and in certain games you need it to be all ticket but this is just micro management of a group of people, who mostly prefer a degree of freedom.

I feel I might join the Popular Tooting Front.
