I’ve dipped in and read some of the entries, and the limited number I’ve read bring back memories. partickthedog Posted August 20 Report Share Posted August 20 Mine arrived too today, which was a great relief, as I had a sneaky feeling that I might have to go to Firhill to collect it. Had to start instantly with the Robert Watson page. Every part of it is excellent, but just that little detail of the visit by Chris Erskine and Callum Booth shows that seemingly small gestures of kindness live long in the memory and says so much about the bond between club, players and supporters. I am now looking forward to reading all the other pages, and will be taking this with me on the long trip to Inverness. Even flicking through the pages, and the names known and unknown that jump out, fills me with more anticipation than any other book has given me before. BowenBoys Posted August 22 Report Share Posted August 22 Got my copy last night. A belated birthday present from my son. This year, at least, he had a good excuse. It's a fabulous book. I cherry picked last night and couldn't put it down. So many great personal stories that rise from the pages, bringing life to the sea of faces in the stands. Great contributions from many players and managers. From those submissions, there is one notable omission and that, perhaps, tells its own story. Lovely photos too (my favourite is on the back cover) and superb detail (see: red and yellow bookmarks). I had assumed it would be a paperback. Had a quick read at chapter one and was so delighted with the style and humour which I'm sure will be continued throughout. A fantastic addition to the Thistle library and a great credit to Kenny. Well done, Sir! PS Chuffed to bits to see my name printed on the fly-leaf.
