thornwoodjag
So everyone is fit according to Mr Wilson ( apart from the obvious). No idea how we are going to line up for this one. Don’t really know what formation St Mirren play but do know two of their first choice strikers are injured and Tanser should b missing out due to concussion on Tuesday (still tbc) Guessing Watt n Samuel play. Midfield 3 of Stanway,Wee T n Crawford. Imagine D O R and the captain play. Rest will prob depend on formation. Big test for us in what could easily b a rehearsal for the play offs. Auld Jag
This will be good test of where we are in comparison with a team struggling in the premier league at the moment. It should not be forgotten they have won the league cup already this season, they are at home and even tho as i have already mentioned they are struggling, they are a premier league team who have finished in the top 6 the last couple of seasons. My first away game since we played them in the 2016 Scottish cup. Come on the JAGS.
JeanieD
Can’t honestly see a positive result but a good performance would be heartening (would want Falkirk in the semifinal and Celtic in the final but suspect that ain’t going to happen!!) Shades of 71 league cup, i like it.
King Kenny
Dunfermline showing what can be done. Nothing to lose, plenty to gain. I hope we go for it, they are there for the beating.
exiledjag
I've only seen St Mirren on TV highlights so perhaps not an accurate reflection of their true quality. My first impressions were that they are a big, quick and powerful team and could be a bit too strong for us. However they have the poorest attack in the SPL with only 23 goals from 29 games. Their defence isn't much better and stands 8th out of 12 with just over 40 goals conceded. As long as we can cope with the pace of the game the above statistics,/weaknesses i think give us a good chance of reaching Hampden especially when our recent good record at Paisley is taken into account. A win for the Jags.
exiledjag
That's Dunfermline through joining Falkirk. It's going to be a strange looking semi-final quartet regardless of the results of the two remaining ties. When we beat St Mirren I would prefer Dunfermline at Hampden and beat Rangers in the final. A 1-0 score will do!
madcapmilkdrinker
Buzzing for this. All the time-honoured rituals of following the Jags over land and sea have now been sorted, iPad charged, VPN setup and bodgy BBC account all good to go for 530 am in Australia. Let’s do this.
Dick Dastardly
Midfield is going to be the problem for us today. Arguably our best midfielder is one that isn’t good enough for their squad. Going to struggle for any possession.
eljaggo
By chance I have just found a Scottish cup 2002 Rangers v Thistle semi-final programme in a cupboard. It's an omen I tell you! An omen!

One thing about Wilson is his ability to change formation to suit the situation. How he does that tonight is anybody's guess, but taking control of midfield looks an unlikely ploy. sandy
I presume Smyth can’t play for us tonight against his home club?

Sunday 24th march.. Hold the Shift and Windows Key (3rd from bottom left) down at the same time. Keep them held and press 's' and then let them go. Drag your mouse over the area you want to show (a picture or image of your ticket) - this has now snipped a picture for you. Dick Dastardly
No Chalmers in the squad. Wonder how this lines up. I am guessing Watt out wide

JeanieD
It’s not as if these kind of penalties are rare in this VAR era
Jaggernaut
VAR used exactly as I'd predicted earlier. Not a single St Mirren player claimed for a penalty.

King Kenny
Played well enough then became our own worst enemies. Poor from Reading and Clarke needs to do better. Fitzy, Watt and Crawford anonymous so far.
