Just wondering now that Robinson's away to Aberdeen if it will affect the position of Smyth and Taylor for the rest of the season..

I don't think they can be recalled now as transfer window is shut so we should have them both for rest of season

I hope we win the league but its starting to look like we're running out of bodies and games plus St Johnstone don't appear to be making many mistakes.

Kilmarnock appear to have improved under McCann particularly with his signings in the January transfer window so not sure I'd want them.

I think Aberdeen have taken Robinson from St Mirren partly to improve their own form but partly to destabilise St Mirren. Now that St Mirren have lost Robinson and a few first teamers to injury its starting to look like they will be in the playoffs.

Between meeting them in the Cup and being beaten by a dodgy VAR call plus having Taylor and Smyth on loan it feels like we might be destined to go back to the SMISA for the playoff final.

Hopefully St Mirren pick a really bad manager, we can get some players fit and someone pulls the plug on VAR if that is the case

I see that SFA did look at the penalty incident but decided that it was correct to award the penalty.

"The majority (2:1) of the panel deemed the on-field decision of no penalty to be incorrect. Two panel members felt VAR was correct to intervene and a penalty was correctly awarded for handball after OFR. One panel member felt that VAR was incorrect to intervene and a penalty was the incorrect decision."

Presumably the blatant ball-handling event by a St M player wasn't even reviewed,

Just past the 19 minute mark the penalty decision is discussed, no need to worry Willie is going to talk to stakeholders at the end of the season! Had to chuckle at the ref saying is response to Crawford telling him it hit his foot first - no it didn't then it doesn't matter. Not sure I am comfortable with the cheers mate banter style communication either.

Thanks for the post, FT 👍.  But it's a nice Spring day and I'm guessing listening to it would go some way to spoiling it. So I'll give it a miss. Besides I'm allergic to Willie Collum.

He has the correct initials. :happy2: :whistling:

Watching sportscene tonight, Steven Naismith talking about a penalty claim for Falkirk against St. Mirren ' you can't give a penalty for that, it's hit the players hip and then his hand, if it hits a part of your body and then hand, it's not a penalty'. Ex St. Mirren player and also supporter Steven Thompson agrees with him. The irony of it. :help::red_card:

To be fair Thompson also said the one awarded against us in the Cup shouldn’t have been given
