Now that the game has been given the green light I can ask the question, is this the first time Partick Thistle have been shown live on the TV twice in under a week ?

I'm guessing the answer has got to be yes 🤔

No. The playoff games would have been live on tv.

Got away with that one, far too many poor performances.

Diack might just have been the worst.

Well done Alex, nice finish. Can’t argue with winning when playing poorly, a lot of pressure on that win as well.

Ashcroft with the howler at the end, he looked absolutely done.

could be expensive with Watt, reading and Ashcroft looking injured.

Probably did not deserve to win but we did and that could prove vital come the end of the league campaign.

Hope the knocks to Watt and Reading don't keep them out for next week (looked like Ashscroft tweaked his hamsting at the end as well).

Great backing from those at the game - lets get Firhill as busy as possible next week.

As the enemy of my enemy is my friend looking for Ross County and Airdrie to pick up some points tomorrow.

Lack of squad depth really starting to show. Hope Watt and Reading are back next week. And we pull a rabbit out the hat free agent wise.

Fitzpatrick is infuriatingly inconsistent. He needs to step up now other creative players are out. And could the Turner of three seasons ago please turn up? He's in there somewhere.

But it was 3 points away from home. That's reason enough to celebrate.

Also means that we cannot finish in the bottom 2 now!

Think the st mirren game took its toll on us tonight

We never got going and we're lucky to get the penalty

Morton were good even down to 10 men  and when Samuel scored it look all over

Just shows yove got to play till the final whistle

We were pretty dreadful tonight and until the penalty and red card Morton weren't having to do a lot to be in front.

Without Chalmers and Smyth we are down the bare bones in attack. Fitzpatrick was poor again and if there was any other option I would be dropping him for his sheer lack of effort. Took to the last 15 minutes before he actually ran at his defender, always wanted to take the easy back pass rather than take his man on or make a forward pass.

Playing Stanway in the deeper midfield role takes away a threat further up the pitch and it might be worth looking at McBeth in that role if Smyth is going to be out for a while.

Of those that played I would give pass marks to Clarke, Reading, McPherson, Ingram, Loughrey, Stanway, Let'sosa and Samuel. Fitzpatrick, Turner and Crawford were poor, Diack was dreadful. Ashcroft was to my mind at fault for the first and nearly cost us a second at the end.

It was a weird flat game and also strange that it felt inevitable that we would win despite how poor we were. Really good finish by Samuel who look the best attacking threat on the park but what a clearance by Ingram. Always lovely beating Morton given the seeth of the fans and how much they appear to detest us. Plus it shouldn't be forgotten that its a first away win in a long while.

If Smyth is out for the foreseeable we really need Taylor and Chalmers back as well as a free agent winger in. Fingers crosses Ross County can do us a favour tomorrow.

I thought Let'sosa was dreadful, and has been for weeks.
