Jaggernaut
Clubs should work out precisely (if possible) how much they take in for Friday night matches compared to Saturday afternoon matches. Of course the calculations will not be perfect, but if the attendances at Friday night, live televised games are substantially (or even less) lower, and if the tv money does not compensate for that, the the clubs should simply put an end to it, unless they get a significantly better deal. Pretty sure the TV deal money for this does not go strictly to the Championship Clubs so is actually approved by all 42 clubs instead of the 10 so not sure it would work.

That's my understanding. What I don't know is if there is compo for assumed revenue drop is it a flat rate? In other words would a club with poor home attendees say Airdrie receive the same some for a Fri night game against QP as we would for a home game against Dunfermline? Not heard of that being the case and its just an equal split, think the games are more televised for exposure more than anything, same with the Alba ones for League 1, believe the sums involved are tiny
lady-isobel-barnett
I see the drop off in last night's attendance in comparison to our previous away game v Morton was over 30%. Realise there may have been extenuating circumstances (Central Station) but even at that it's still some shortfall. I reckon it's fair to say the value of Friday night TV to any particular club is dependent on what home games are chosen to be televised.
