Albert's Ghost
Friday's game is pivotal now. Fail to win, and it looks like 2nd at best. Need to get there ASAP, to prepare for a playoff marathon by resting key players (as well as the aforementioned three).

Imo we will be very lucky to see any of them play again this season. Possibly the last we have seen of Chalmers and Smyth in a Thistle strip. JAG1970
Nightmare stuff! We’ll do very well to hold second but 6-8 weeks might not see all of them, or even any of them, for the playoffs

Fawlty Towers
Whilst these injuries are disappointing I don't think we should be running up the white flag in terms of the title at the moment. We might need to change formation and use some youngsters but we can still win games. There is a great spirit in the squad and now more than ever the players need us to get right behind them starting on Friday night. In January when Queens Park sold their top scorer whilst at the bottom end of the table I thought they were done for but the players pulled together and have climbed up the table so we just need to grind out as many wins as possible over the next 8 games!

exiledjag
I agree with 'Fawlty Towers we shouldn't be thinking of just giving up. Winning the league just became that bit harder but if we believe we can still do it then second place is the least we will achieve. Second would be a big achievement for us and better than we have achieved in recent seasons. All of the injured players are a big loss but if players like Turner and Budinauckas can step up, if Crawford can produce a 90 min game and we get Diack back to the form of a couple of seasons ago we can win on Friday. If we lose then it's Saints title and we will still be 8 points clear of Arbroath. Can we recall Martin from his loan? Fingers crossed for Friday
laukat
I think we need to find a winger that we can sign. Leaving aside the effect on results we are now looking at Samuel and Fitzpatrick playing week in week out so risk is they get injured. Arguably Diack can fill in for Samuel but we have nothing to cover Fitzpatrick. Perhaps someone like Gary MacKay-Steven might be worth a look? Still no news on Dan MacKay? I agree. Winning the league is the optimum strategy, and avoids having to fight our way through a minimum of 4 play off games with a depleted squad.
