eljaggo
Just watched the highlights and don't want to repeat what has been well said above, but that must probably be our best result of the season so far given the timing. It will give added confidence for the remaining games. Great performance all round including the management.

Not complaining right enough plus the Steven’s call up puts him out St Johnstone’s game at wkend. Gemmill can do one, now I'd rather have our players available.
lady-isobel-barnett
A wee aside. Did anyone notice Young Bud re the "Whaur's me watter" incident? The only time he looked confused all night.

Where does this seasons number of individual goalscorers sit in a historical context? Can’t help but feel it’d be toward the upper reaches of the list. Ben McPherson was our 18th different scorer in all competitions this season. Only 3 seasons in history have a greater spread, see below: 21 - 2018-19 20 - 1957-58 19 - 2006-07 18 - 1892-93 18 - 1912-13 18 - 1942-43 18 - 1999-00 18 - 2019-20 18 - 2025-26

Highest was Blair Spittal on 8, then FItzy (debut season) and Scott McDonald on 7, and Dools (final season) on 6. This season, with (at least) 6 games to go, we have 18 scorers, for a total of 71 goals. 4 have over 8 goals already... Two of the three seasons having the greatest spread were distinctly underwhelming (in each case, bottom half of the Championship and only 4/5 points clear of the relegation play-off). Of particular note is the inclusion of 2019-20, i.e., the truncated covid season (and as such, the high spread was achieved in fewer games) which ended with us rock bottom (ppg). I might see the point if the goal was at the other end but it was with the young team! Otherwise the ref was generally invisible which is a good sign in my book. laukat
From what I remember at the game, Fitzptarick was booked after his goal. Think Stanway and Ashcroft also got booked for fouls. Ingram got booked for time wasting at a throw in. Don't remember Turner getting booked

I suppose that he did do that and engage at least slightly with an enthusiastic band of his own team's supporters.

exiledjag
Finally caught up with the highlights. No doubt about it both goals were very good. First a great 'team' goal second a great individual goal. Either good enough to win any game. For the first time I'm not sure i agree with Wilson's comment that we controlled the game. I think that Raith had too many chances to score to substantiate that assessment. However I appreciate i was watching highlights which I know can be misleading. Overall a great result. I would never want to be on record as suggesting or condoning such nefarious actions, but could there be a case for deliberately timing a booking so as to be suspended for a meaningless game and available for a vital one?
