Cheers, £12 well spent for the result, wasn't a great game.but professionally managed throughout after recovering from the goal down. Well done to the players and the management team.

I do hope that Roy McGregor is getting ready to take his medicine.

Just so impressive from Wilson again. In other seasons we've been so rigid tactically and in a small league, teams quickly work out how to play against us. But now we switch things up depending on who we're playing and who's available making the most of the small squad. Then the substitutions proceed on the same basis - obviously thought out.

Impressed with Ingram - refreshing to have a fullback who doesn't hang about at throw-ins. Taylor looked promising too. He could make a big impact once he's had a some minutes. And Diack did well when he came on too.

I’m actually weirdly irritated at just how spineless and truly terrible County were just now. My god, easily the worst performance at Firhill this season (the stuffing we gave QP flattered us a bit). Even with a one goal head start generously given (some truly terrible defending from our side there, from what I could make out at theother end- two of our players utterly bullied).  Still, Marvellous- time for a malt

It feels like since about early October ourselves and St Johnstone have been pretty much matching each other game for game. We've never passed them, but I think we've also never been more than about 5 points behind (except with games in hand)

Great win. County were pathetic, well after they their centre forward went off.

Great to see the rotation and I thought the subs did well with Fraser Tsylor catching the eye.

Big Diack did well.

I was just thinking the same.

Another thought that occurred to me was the timing of the substitutions. All changes were made within a 12 minute period in the second half between the 65th and 77th minutes.

Two points struck me, after all the changes had been made there was still plenty time, 23 mins plus time added on to play, for a disaster to happen. That told me that Wilson/Rae:

1. had complete confidence in the players coming on, and

2. were looking forward to the play-off games in terms of keeping players fit and managing minutes on the park.

I haven't seen this to the same extent in previous managers. I remember thinking a few seasons ago that during the play-off games v Ayr and Queen's Park these games reached a point where we could have been more aggressive with our  substitutions.

Delighted with the Wilson/Rae combination and the players all of whom have exceeded expectations.

A big well done to the Jags and all the fans who managed to get to the game.

Fair play to the players for not panicking after such a poor start. Three excellent goals and a very comfortable win with lots of players getting a well earned rest.

I thought Crawford was motm tonight but everyone played their part well. Someone has had a word with Diack, last two games have been a huge improvement.

A very good week (again) for the Jags, well done to Wilson, Rae and the players. Whisper it, but our players look like we’re building momentum again….

I feared a repeat of the last game at Dingwall when we conceded a soft goal in their first attack. I initially thought Lets'osa had done well to nick the ball away from the County player but only set it up for the scorer...it reflected his performance this evening.

Fortunately we stepped up our game with all three goals coming from sharp crosses from the left wing. Despite some dopey indecision, particularly between O'Reilly & Redding, it was a comfortable win. The second half was a bit dull but an opportunity to give some players a break and others a run out. Diack looked clumsy against Morton but more the decent prospect of his early performances tonight.

Our wee ballboy showed more urgency and desire to be involved that most of the County players.

A very good week with 6 points - well done to the players and management.

After losing such an early goal i feared the players might start to feel the strain of playing 2 games in such a short space of time. Instead they played some great football and scored 3 very good goals, apart from their goal i don't remember them threatening our goal. The second half we played out quite comfortably. Another great effort from the players and management team.

Overall, a game of dire quality, although our three goals were well worked and finished. Taylor looks like a gallus wee player; looking forward to seeing more of him.

I know that we seemingly have a "thin" squad, but actually to me it looks pretty strong, with several players who already have experience and who look like they can slot in with relative ease when brought on or even when they start. Nobody seems like a (particularly) weak link. The toughest part is figuring who Wilson will bring on, who will go off, and what that means for the formation and approach. But it seems to work pretty well most of the time!

Their No 5, Pitan, played the 2nd half as if they were 3-1 up. Happy to see the ball go out for throw ins when he could've done something positive.. Probably quite chuffed we didn't add to the score. Refreshing to see that Uncle Roy's big bucks doesn't trump effort & teamwork.

Always good to see Thistle scoring inventive goals.

The first began with an amazing free kick routine between Ben Stanway and Paddy Reading. I have seen a few variations on the theme of pretending to get a free kick wrong. but then suddenly scoring. I remember Gordon Strachan being particularly clever at this, both for Aberdeen and Scotland. However, we took this art form to a new level in actually conceding possession to the opposition, so they relaxed, and then immediately winning the ball back. County were totally wrongfooted, and had no answer to the Bob Crawford/Alex Samuel combo.

The second was incredibly skilful one touch football, while County watched in admiration. Ethan Ingram back heels to T'soanelo Lets'osa who cunningly bounces the ball off the crossbar to Aidan Fitzpatrick who sets up Bob Crawford to fire into the roof of the net. 4 brilliant touches (or 5 if you include the crossbar).

The third was more conventional, but it was wonderful to see so many Thistle players flooding forward simultaneously to outnumber the County defence. Aidan Fitzpatrick down the left, Ben Stanway through the middle and goal machine Ben McPherson down the right. Superb stuff!
