fifexile
Absolutely sickened by theΒ vandalism and racist sh1t scrawled on seats and in toilets in the JLS by some Raith ****w1ts. Hopefully CCTV will be able to ID them although I assume they will be wearing face coverings. Expect the bill will be sent to Raith or it will be deducted from their prize money. On another point who was responsible for the stewarding? Thistle as the hosts or the SPFL as organisers? Β

lady-isobel-barnett
Evidently the cost of repairs will be covered by the SPFL who'll then pass on the bill to Raith/ICT (presumably in effect, the former). We won't be responsible costwise. I've seen a video of some of the damage and it's truly sickening. I'll rarely if ever blame stewards but blaming stewarding is another matter entirely. That starts at the top not the bottom.Β
Jimmy McD
Terrible state of affairs... Let's hope the guys had taken down all the banners... This game should never have been played at Firhill... McDermid park Perth would have been a more central venue..

The final was nothing to do with location, St Johnstone knocked the game back along with other sides who did not want to host it. We offered the SPFL to host the game as we are skint. Β The abuse is absolutely disgusting and shocking targeting an individual in that way. fifexile
In future the final should be played at the home ground of one of the finalists. Either toss a coin or the higher ranking in terms of league position hosts. Regardless, Thistle should never agree to host these games, the ugly sisters both damaged seats when the u18's met in a cup final
Auld Jag
This is the ugly side of ultras. Why were they allowed in with spray cans to scrawl their vile abuse ? Edited Wednesday at 05:24 PM by Auld Jag
partickthedog Posted yesterday at 09:50 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:50 AM Good Morning Supporter, Following the KDM Cup Final, your allocated season ticket seat was damaged beyond repair and will need replacing. Unfortunately, this will not be completed before the end of the season. Your ticket remains fully valid for all upcoming fixtures; however, your assigned seat will be unavailable. Please use a nearby available seat on matchdays. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please contact us if you need any assistance. Kind Regards, Partick Thistle Football Club Β Just received the email above from the Club. As somebody who stands in the John Lambie, and has no idea where "my seat" is, I am not personally inconvenienced or bothered, but I imagine that might be more upsetting for others (especially perhaps in the Jackie Husband) who have strong reasons for being attached to a particular seat (or group of seats). Just shows how bad the damage must have been if the repair/replacement has to wait until after season's end.
lady-isobel-barnett Posted yesterday at 10:05 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 10:05 AM (edited) Tho' I don't have a strong opinion myself on this, I think there's some credence to the view that the use of Firhill for this event should have been opened to fan consultation. There's some similarity in respect to the Celtic game where it was such an issue. I realise as a commercial decision this may have been a no brainer. Plus any stadium damage/repairs will likely be of zero cost to the Club. Also we're in an every penny's a prisoner situation. I believe other clubs knocked hosting the final back, which perhaps indicates it wasn't that lucrative. And the state of the pitch is at best fragile. Will it be unaffected come Saturday?Β Maybe Woodstock Jag could add his tuppence worth here. If only to say where he feels the line should be drawn between what is and what's not considered worthy/appropriate for fan consultation. Even just knowing the reason why there was none in itself has value.Β Β Edited yesterday at 10:06 AM by lady-isobel-barnett

I wonder how many other folk got same email as if repairs are waiting until the end of season this could potentially impact attendances in play off(s) or indeed unfurling title flag if I am being more optimistic as all of those games one would imagine could be very in demand. Lenziejag Posted yesterday at 12:21 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:21 PM Do we know how many seats are affected ? We have at least one playoff game which are usually pretty well attended. Hopefully not enough seats damage to potentially impact the attendance.
