Never underestimate the Jags ability to piss it up.

I fully expect something similar in the playoffs. Can't beat a very weak team that might end up relegated, and we're talking about making it to the Premiership???!

Sounded like some "eccentric" refereeing today but I don't expect anything else at the moment (appears FIFA agree with me given how many officials are going to World Cup but none from Scotland).

Still only 1 league defeat in 2026, now need to set a marker next week by getting a win against Arbroath then keep the unbeaten home run going against Queens Park.

Looking forward to the play offs and my only hope is we can find a few decent refs for the games 🀞

Dunfermline are getting praised to high heaven at the moment but we have beaten them 3 times and drawn once. Look on the bright side.

Bitter pill. However, the result (and performance) has vindicated our 2nd place finish. Not good enough to be Champions and choked when it mattered. Been an amazing season, but I just don't think we will have what it takes to win the playoffs. Falter when it matters the most.Β

Over the 4 games Airdrie have played much better against us than Dunfermline.

Yet Dunfermline are in 4th place pushing for 3rd whilst Airdrie are 2nd bottom and could finish last.

The point I was trying (and clearly failing) to make was trying to make judgements about future games or the season as a whole based on results against a specific team is not really sensible.

It's a good point (I mean the one you're making, not the one we got at Airdrie yesterday).

100% this. Totally hopeless. He didn’t cost us any points but lots of needless bookings. I lost count. Maybe 10 in total?

The assistant on other hand couldn’t see that Strapp was clearly on the pitch when taking throw ins, including the one that led to the goal where one of his feet was fully on the pitch. I’m not sure of laws nowadays but it used to be that both feet had to be behind the line.Β

The comment about no Scottish officials says it all, although from what I’ve seen in some English Premier League games this season they are every bit as bad.Β

On the players returning after lengthy injury spells:

  • Smyth looked 100% back to his best.
  • Watt perhaps 85% and shouldΒ be fully tuned up for the play offs.
  • Chalmers perhaps 70% and has a bit further to go. Hopefully can be back at top level for the play offs.

Sorry no. Smyth n Taylor were awful first half. Only slightly better in second halfΒ

Re-reading my original post, I accept that I did not phrase what I said about Smyth clearly enough. I meant that he appeared to be back to 100% fitness, not that he had a 100% good game. Having said that I thought that he was our best performer in the first half (not a high bar, I have to confess) and improved along with the rest of the team in the second half.
