Dunfermline v Arbroath playoff tie

Recommended Posts

I know this has maybe been asked before but seems to behind paywalls when i google it, but how does the gate receipts share work for these upcoming ties as in do we split it collectively or each team keeps own?  And same with sky showing it, do we get extra or is it covered already with existing tv contracts.  Would imagine a healthy crowd at both legs.

And please god can we not have Ross Hardie or Lloyd Wilson in the middle for any of the ties 🙏

From the SPFL rules:

"After deduction and retention by the Home Club of 15% of the aggregate of all ticket receipts and admission charges (gross excluding VAT) received or receivable by the Home Club in relation to a Play-Off Match in the Premiership/Championship Play-Off Competition, a levy of 50% (plus VAT if applicable) of the balance, after such 15% deduction and retention, of the aggregate of all ticket receipts and admission charges (gross excluding VAT) received or receivable by the Home Club for or in relation to the relevant Play-Off Match shall be paid by that Home Club to the Company not later than seven days after the date on which such Play-Off Match is played"

I asked this question a year ago and am still confused! Quite apart from the iniquity of the rules (what eegit thought this up?) in plain language, Thistle keep 15%. Leaves 85%. SPFL (the "company") gets 50% of the 85%. Where does the other half of the 85% go?

This is how my missus answers any questions I dare to ask.

I did what I usually do and stopped listening 10 words in.

15% to us, is what I'll take from it.

Similarly, I don't like the answer but can do nothing about it.

Any sign of ticket info for Thistle fans? DAFC posted it at 8:45 this morning. Why are we not putting the same info out?

I have already ordered from the Dunfermline website. I find myself doing this quite regularly before Thistle put anything up.

The likes of Doncaster and Maxwell don't come cheap.

To pay towards the parachute payment of the relegated team(s)

In order to give them a helping hand to bounce straight back up? Doesn't alway work though.
