I don't seem able to buy tickets. Just getting this message. Despite the fact that it initially directed me to register with Fanbase, which I did.

St Mirren finished with a 1-1 draw against Dundee United today with Wilson and Rae in attendance. Sounded like they rested a few players as well so will be interesting to see how it goes on Thursday night. Hopefully every single ticket that can be bought is and the atmosphere is as good as it was on Friday night.

Going by the highlights St.Mirren were the better team, but it took a deflected shot for them to score. There is also the caveat that Dundee Utd had nothing to play for. If we play like we did in the first half on Friday we struggle, we need to start like we played second half Friday and hopefully take a lead to Paisley. St.Mirren are more used to var than us, so that could be an advantage for them.

Maybe thinks you are a St Mirren fan trying to buy a ticket in the home end ?

No, was happening to me also and i've had an account and been buying tickets for ages.

I think what's happening is that the away tickets are on sale and restricted, but they've applied the restriction to both games which is obviously a mistake.

I can still buy tickets for the home game but not the away game yet.

Maybe been restricted to season ticket holders only for the home game just now?

Unfortunately lm not able to make the home game but if I was I would not be able to buy a ticket for it because I'm not a season ticket holder, that can't be right? I can understand for the away game, but not the home game!

There is no mention on the Thistle web-site of any restrictions on buying tickets for the home leg. So unless some error has occurred with fanbase, non season ticket holders should be able to purchase tickets. As I'm a season ticket holder I can't try to see actually what is happening.

That's not what it says on the club's website.

Not this part of his question

"Maybe been restricted to season ticket holders only for the home game just now?" (my emphasis)

I read a post on p&b that seemed to suggest some concerns that home end tickets might not be being bought by jags fans.

Yeah, i was meaning the home game was maybe restricted to season ticket holders only as some people were having problems.

Im aware the away game isn't available to standard season ticket holders until 4pm today.

Bought my tickets for both legs so my pre-match nerves are already building.

I think the games are going to be an interesting tactical battle.

St Mirren play a similar formation to what Dunfermline normally play i.e. 3 at the back and 4 in midfield. Slight variation up front where Dunfermline play 3 up front and recently St Mirren are playing 1 with 2 advanced midfielders.

Dunfermline switched to 4 at the back in the playoff game against us at they recognised Chalmers and Fitzpatrick caused them all sorts of problems in earlier games. We never really had the option of playing 2 wingers against St Mirren in the cup as only Fitzpatrick was fit and we ended up playing a midfield diamond. The periods of that game that St Mirren exerted pressure came when they could bring their wingbacks and particularly Declan John into play however I believe he is injured and St Mirren don't really appear to have many wide players.

St Mirren did try to play 4 at the back recently but had some bad results and quickly changed back so makes you wonder what they would do if they found that their preferred system didn't work against our preferred system?

St Mirren also have an inexperienced manager that arguably won't be in the dugout next season if they win or lose. I'm not convinced he has the ability to change the game if its not going their way whereas we have seen Wilson & Rae make changes as and when required.

That being said if St Mirren's starting 11 play to their full potential over both games then they probably win but that's asking a lot from a squad that have shown all season that they rarely do that for 90 minutes whereas arguably our strength is consistency of performance. We will need to defend a lot of high balls and be very good at set pieces so could do with McPherson or Ingram being fit if for nothing else other than their aerial presence.

Should be a good couple of games no matter the outcome.

Yeah that's the frustrating thing, if something has changed just tell us what the criteria is, we were happy enough to announce all Saturday how many tickets were sold but since this has happened the updates have dried up.

I phoned the club earlier this morning and bought tickets over the phone because I couldn’t do it online.

Was initially told it was season ticket holders only, but then was asked “have you bought from fanbase before?” I said yes, she looked my details up on their system, and let me buy.

So does seem to be that they’re trying to stop St Mirren fans buying tickets. They could definitely communicate this better though.

Same here!  Pretty rubbish.

I contacted the club a couple of days ago. I'm a Jags for Good ST holder but my son isn't so they told me to wait until today and buy a ticket at the same time. He got his OK today and I could have got mine last night. Absolutely raging. Another shambles from the club. In my opinion, anyone who had been up at Dingwall that terrible day should have been given first dibs.
