Alb Posted May 22 Report Share Posted May 22 Just listening to the my best coach ep2 with Robbo being interviewed by Ian Wright and he mentions nearly signing for Thistle when he was at qp and JM was the boss, who obviously later took him to Dundee United.... Seems to suggest we were in for him in the January when Jackie was at firhill, but they couldn't get it done in time... So Jackie then went to United in the summer and signed him up there. Common practice back then. when QP were still an amateur outfit. was to give them gifts of equipment etc in lieu of monetary payment when signing one of their players.
