We maybe should have asked for the fee now rather than in January?

Made great saves, which no doubt rescued a good few points. Can't see why a keeper with that ability should be a likely signing unless his distribution is still poor. If it still is, it's a difficult one for Wilson/Rae to get round.

As regards distribution, his default option was to kick (very) long, and he was not good at looking for quick options to roll or kick out to defenders. Did Doolan not have enough authority as a "temporary manager of an on loan player" to encourage/compel him to change his ways? Surely these skills are "coachable" by Arthur, Wilson & Rae, and if Myles is to sign for us permanently, it would be a compulsory requirement that he co-operates in playing "Wilson-ball"? Don’t think so. My understanding is that Josh IS a Thistle player, on loan to Doncaster. Effectively a try before you buy deal. Useless fact …. There are claims that Doncaster is part of Scotland (look it up)
jags on tour
Alex Rae on Superscoreboard earlier saying we have 5 or 6 plates spinning on the signing of a new ‘keeper. Someone messaged in saying they’d like Roberts but he didn’t say yes or no.

JeanieD
For a “supporter owned” club we ain’t that great at keeping supporters updated - then again perhaps there isn’t much to update.

What have we not been updated on? Playing side has been okay, the club can't generally respond to rumour and hearsay. Off the field not great, I would agree.

Fawlty Towers
Having a good squad is very important, will be interesting to see where Wilson sees him playing. Will it be him and McPherson (Logan as well) fighting it out for right back or will he be back up to Ashcroft?
laukat
Ingram looked a Rolls Royce of a player in the championship so to get him on a 2 year deal looks a really good bit of business particularly as he's only 23 A goalkeeper, attacking midfielder and a covering left-back then its very difficult to spot a gap. When you add in they are all permanent signings we look in really decent shape

I wonder if Low might get the nod as covering left back as he seems to have done well in the 2 open door friendlies plus he is already on the wage bill. laukat
I think Low needs loaned out to somewhere league 1 or league 2 that will play him every week. I think Wilson would be more tempted to cover Reading by moving Loughrey or O'Reilly given Ingram can cover in centre of defence. I would be surprised if Wilson signed another leftback rather than taking a cheap loan from a premier league team that was just wanting to get a younger player the experience of being part of a first team squad and not fussed how often they played If we sign a left back to compete with Reading its would have to be with the belief that we are going all out to win the league
