It was interesting last season that as a team we had the fewest yellow cards in the division but Lee and Daniel were in the top 10 individually, basically 2 players accounting for a third of the total yellow cards. Forced into saving/desparate tackles by our midfielders not making the tackles they should have before attackers reached the defence, or being too easily brushed off. Ayr are in talks over a new deal but Championship rivals Thistle are also pushing. New Somerset Park boss Gary Naysmith wants to keep him but the Jags have more financial muscle. The Jags have already started to do some early business with the signings of Euan Henderson and Oisin Smith. Thistle also remain in talks with Ben Stanway. Interest from Aberdeen has cooled but he has other Premiership and Belgian interest. Article continues below Coleraine look set to beat off a number of Scottish sides to land Jay Henderson. I think Henderson with 19 goals and I've read, also 11 assists is an excellent signing. Anytime I've seen him he has impressed me as a very good all round footballer who also has a bit of pace. Achieving what he did in a team that was eventually relegated was amazing. With better players around him and coaching from Wilson/Rae I'm sure he will improve. He may not be as good as Fitzpatrick (jury still out on this one) but I think that over a season he will prove to be an upgrade on Chalmers. Henderson is also a more versatile a player than either Fitz and LC and I'm sure this was a factor in signing him. I made my comment about Henderson before checking his stats for last season. Getting a player that scored 19 has got to be a positive. Hopefully he can keep that going with us.
