Good to see less sideways and backward passing, and some great tackles winning ball in mid-field.  Overall a great performance in what was a good early indicator of season's prospects.

Was watching the game on the television which sometimes gives you a different impression to those at the game but felt we were comfortable. Smyth was a bit slack a couple of times but apart from that nothing much to complain about. Might have been just the way the game went but seemed to be McFarlane went long a lot more then we did last season.

Great crowd as well given the small away support.

I was at the game and always felt very comfortable. I thought it felt very much like a statement win, albeit very early in the season.

Can't remember the last time i saw a Thistle team looking so comfortable against a decent team. Could have gone up another gear if needed too. As strong a squad as we've had for a while

Very good performance. Drozd was outstanding, great to see a winger who can go on the inside and outside at ease. 
 

We really should have won by a few more but can’t argue with a 2-0 win against one of the main challengers although they looked poor. 
 

lets’osa was brilliant, as were the full backs. The work rate of the whole team is brilliant to watch. Smyth was poor with his distribution tonight but I thought his defensive work was excellent. 
 

Nice to see Stanway back but he’s a few weeks away from starting going on tonight, looked a bit off the pace (understandably). Henderson also looked a bit unsure on his defensive duties leaving Reading exposed on a couple of occasions but I’m sure that will come with more games. 
 

Full points after two games is a decent start, free hit at the Hibees next week.

Seb Drozd. What a player! He has it all. Works hard, beautiful ball control, skill, pace, imagination,  can go either way, bamboozles defenders and has end product, runs, crosses, shots. 

Just hope that no one from a higher league watched him tonight and wants to sign him.

Apart from the famous goal against Rangers, I was not aware of him pulling up many trees at Queen's Park. Thistle seems to be the right environment for him, and he is just right for us. Great signing, so well done to Ian Baraclough and all else involved in making that happen.

Very good performance from Thistle. Went 2-0 up at ht and did what we had to do in the second half. Drodz deserved motm,but a word for Samuel he didn't score but he kept their central defenders busy. Only downside for me was McFarlane i thought he should've done better with corners that came into his area.

Solid performance, won it comfortably, although i felt we didnt get out of 3rd gear. Drozd the clear motm.

A very impressive performance...had me thinking back to a similar display in our first home game against Falkirk in 2012...is a repeat of that season possible?

We looked much better than a poorer-than-expected Livingston...we could have won even more convincingly and we have good players to come off the bench with others to return or get up to speed.

Drozd was excellent and Lets'osa and McPherson had very good games. I like that Smyth wants to be the fulcrum of the team but he gave up possession carelessly a few times. I'm delighted that Fitzpatrick & Stanway are still with us this season but with the Premiership apparently stacked with unexceptional foreigners it seems ridiculous that no team was prepared to give them a chance.

An enjoyable evening at Firhill...I am pleased to have chosen my club wisely.

One of those pieces should have made it 3-0.  Smyth had Samuel wide open for a tap-in but his pass was uncharacteristically light.

Its a good sign when one of our players can have a sub standard game and we can still get the win.

I think Cammy Palmer’s best game was away at Inverness when he scored the third goal in a fine 3-1 win in the early days of Ian McCall’s second tenure. Cannot remember any stand out moments at Firhill.

I see that he played the first 57 minutes last night. Cannot say that I noticed him at all!

I can't remember the last time I used the BBC for Thistle content apart from the odd highlight or interview?

I appreciate some folk may do out of habit.

Kale Loughry never gets a mention, but he looks rock solid at the back and probably our best defender. OK so he doesn’t go on mazy runs or score with back heals, but he rarely looks in any trouble.

The Cabbage has done well despite being really left-footed. It obviously affects elements of his distribution but he has been pretty assured so far and could be another real diamond discovered by the scouting staff.

Hamilton's loss has been our gain.
