Jaggernaut
No way that goal can be attributed to Tony Watt!

jagfox
Watt put the ball on target then the defender deflected it onto the post and in so I would say a valid shout for Tony to claim the goal.

If you slow down the replay (I used 0.3 timing), you can see Tony backheeling the ball, presumably expecting it to cross the line at the far side of the goal, but the defender deflects it instead to the near post, wrongfooting the goalkeeper. Albert's Ghost
But The Thistle Archive says OG. And they're the final arbiter. Isn't that so, Brian?
The Thistle Archive
Tony Watt's back heel is heading well wide, never "on target". 4 of us have studied the trajectory so far and we're ranging from 18 yard box to corner flag or even throw-in. So, a clear Dylan Reid own goal. Nice assist from Tony! My MovieSlo-Mo-2.mp4 Edited October 5 by The Thistle Archive
Jaggernaut
Even if the ball got past the unfortunate defender it had no pace; keeper would have had plenty of time to stop it, not to mention that either one of another two defenders could have cleared it. Albert's Ghost
Let's not forget Mr C, who called it right from the far end of the ground!

The most important stat imo is it's a Thistle goal and we won 3-0. Edited October 5 by Auld Jag
