mediumwave
Noticed in the preview for the game tomorrow Jackie was saying we've got an "experienced" goalkeeper in on trial at the moment to cover for Ryan Scully while out injured. Does anyone know who it is, as it obviously isn't Hinchy.

kni
I doubt that it is Bryn Halliwell. I also doubt that Maik Taylor would want to play at our level. Ludovic Roy is a free agent without a club. Edited October 14, 2011 by kni

jaggy
Soccer mercenary John Burridge. LOL's, Budgies in Oman, I used to speak to him regularly when I lived there. He's pushing 60 & coaches the Omani national team keepers. He 'discovered' Ali Al-Habsi who currenly stars for Wigan. He's still pretty fit & probably could play for us!!!!! Milo
If only it could be Lev Yashin, the USSR's goalie extraordinaire! When he wasn't being a 1st class stopper he would come over all philosophical: Quote 1: "What kind of a goalkeeper is the one who is not tormented by the goal he has allowed? He must be tormented! And if he is calm, that means the end. No matter what he had in the past, he has no future." Quote 2: "The joy of seeing Yuri Gagarin flying in space is only superseded by the joy of a good penalty save." Jaggernaut
Didn't recognize him at all in the pre-match warm-up yesterday. But did notice that he failed to stop about 90% of the practice shots from the edge of the penalty box. Should do nicely.
eighthoursbehind
Didn't recognize him at all in the pre-match warm-up yesterday. But did notice that he failed to stop about 90% of the practice shots from the edge of the penalty box. Should do nicely. When I was a youngster playing in goal (leather footballs that weighed about a stone) I believed that there was a finite number of balls that could get past me in a day so the more that went in in the warm-up the less that could go in during the game. Some days it was obviously an infinite number. Edited October 16, 2011 by eighthoursbehind
