  1. I can't help think that if we play more of this season the way we started yesterdays game we will see a rise in attendance figures. Some great football played by us and although I was gutted at the final whistle I can look back and say at least I got some good entertainment for my cash. Keep it up Jags the wins will come.

  2. That yellow wall during league games is one of the most amazing sights I've seen in world sport, would love to go one day. Anyone here been?

Been over a few times. You're right, it is an amazing experience. The Dortmund fans are so passionate and a really friendly bunch. I would strongly recommend a trip over.
  3. Buzzing for the game today. Surely we can beat St. Mirren this time! Bringing along 8 Dortmund fans who are over for the weekend. Hopefully the atmosphere in the north Stand can match the one at the Yellow Wall which they are used to. I'm sure all the Jags fans will give them a warm welcome. Mon the Jags! :)

  4. If you think it's that easy to just progress, progress, progress, year on year in the premiership, then you don't really know the Premiership.

Never thought it would be easy Potty Trained. I just had hopes that once we had secured our place in this years SPFL the board and manager would strengthen the team with a bit more quality. Especially in the positions where we lost a couple of strong players.

  5. It's our second season in the SPFL and I really think we should be doing better. That Killie team was there for the beating today. Our lack of attacking prowess is a real worry. Don't want to sound to negative but i don't see a great deal of progression from last season.

  6. The reason BOD'S get away with things like this is that they relying on fans loyalty and hope they will turn up to support the team no matter how they are treated. If some people feel strongly enough and wish not to attend games because the feel they have been mistreated then so be it. I can understand their reasoning. Hopefully instead people will come together and stand up to this decision and common sense will prevail.

  7. Can confirm that myself and PT were asked to meet with Ian Maxwell this morning before the match.

It was a lengthly meeting which almost involved us missing kick off. Once I have more time I will try and piece together how the meeting went. All I can really say at the moment is that I've never felt so deflated in my life as I did leaving that meeting.

Ironically the first sight we saw upon leaving the meeting was a lengthly queue of folk waiting to get in to the north stand.

Couldn't really enjoy the game at all today if I'm honest. Didn't intend to tell anyone till after the game but a few close friends noticed that something was wrong with both of us and I felt we had to tell them. Soon after that word spread like wildfire.

The response from the whole north stand in the 2nd half was something I did not expect at all. It actually left me with a lump in my throat. 25 minutes of non-stop singing. It left me feeling like we could maybe fight this.

At this point in time I can't see myself returning to Firhill unless this decision is reversed. I can not, and will not return to the way things were 2 years ago.

Thanks to everyone in the north stand for the support today.

It would be interesting to hear their reasons for this apparently unpopular decision.
  8. Thought long and hard about whether to respond to this thread. Okay, I get we're all disappointed we're not in the top six and that the manager couldn't bring on Messi or someone to replace Higginbotham, but for God's sake, get a grip! Anyone who thinks that bringing in another manager would get this group of players further up the league doesn't know much about football. It turns my stomach that there's folk on here who have a go at Archibald on the basis of the results this season. Thank God none of you lot will ever get anywhere near the management of a Thistle team!

Are you seriously trying to say that a new manager has never came in and changed the fortunes of a struggling team! Are you new to football?
