  1. The comps issue is a difficult one.

To a certain extent - the club has little control over who gets them. This is a problem for all clubs, and is a culture that has been in existence for as long as people have been paying in to football matches.

Players friends and families, sponsors, scouts from other clubs etc. There is nothing to stop these people distributing these tickets to whoever they choose.

Julie Ann, I'm sure you are aware of all this.

In these tough times, I'd be hope that the club are keeping a close eye on the number of comps being issued.

interesting edit from your original post

  2. You're joking right? The club give comps to folk?

This has got to stop! Are we the only club in Scotland that gives out comps? I can't believe for a minute that we would do such a thing!

Julie Ann, some folk would think that. As every week goes past, you have an ever increasing vendetta with the club, or people (directors) working there! I do hope that with such good football on the park and things getting better on a match day, that you'll eventually find at least one positive thing to post about!

a spectacular misreading of the point. why would you hand out comps to thistle fans who are walking up to the ground with money in their pockets ready to hand it over? no vendetta at all. i think the football is exceptional and the club website is the best its ever been. perhaps any comments made stand out because they don't pat everyone on the head like the majority of other posts no matter what?

  3. I was in the Carpark yesterday so was Lance and Sandy - all onethistle volunteers were inside the Concourse registering kids for Season Tickets.Full Time PTFC staff were either in the Office ,at the tunnel ,in the JHS or the Ticket Booth.

You say a PTFC "Person" this can only be staff ,onethistle or someone from the playing side - are you sure ?

female, dark hair, wearing a thistle tshirt. age? i'll be careful here but probably between 35 and 45.

  4. It's a strange one this. From what I know of the SA supporters trust, it's a pity. They are good guys, struggling a bit to make their mark and help run a Club whose on-field performance has slipped badly.

The SA Operations Director does not help the situation much either; I think he might be out of his depth here.

is that an official view of onethistle? or just a forum based opinion like the sa guy thought he was making.

  5. Because there were two fans not one ,there were two stewards for each of the fans who jumped over the fence ,two Police Officers from the that stand ,they then handed over to two Police Officers who arrived in the Police Van ,there were no more people involved than required ,Sandy stood and watched as an idependant observer- but was not involved.

There were very few incidents and the only time Stewards were involved in the North Stand beyond the aforementioned was in relation to Medical issues that were dealt with quickly and effectively.

So yes we have "soft touch Stewarding" as much as possible,

we're talking about two different times. the one i'm mentioning was before anyone jumped over fences. this was someone who was removed from the support in the north stand. there were a few people discussing it at the time.

its been suggested to me that it was to do with singing the ftp/ftq song. i said that sounded like nonsense?

  6. Good to see Mac B water being sold considering there our sponsors! Only bought a bottle of water today and the q was fairly low - although she put it in a cup and never gave me a lid!

Only other thing I would say is I can't hear a thing Lance says from the North stand - I get bits and bobs but miss most of it! Just me?

i didn't hear lance at all.

catering is a joke still as others have said. i got in at half two today and it took ten minutes to get served and that was with about six people in front of me. employing people who are actually aware of what they are supposed to be doing and not looking and acting as if they've been dragged away from their xboxes in the middle of a game.

  7. First defeat in this season. But not so important. PTFC's only mission in this season is to get promotion. A good practice game for the next league game against the same team.

According to the game stats, the game content was not bad. Hamilton received 3 yellows, while Partick 0. Hamilton's shots on target were 3, while ours were 7. Hamilton's corners were 3, while ours were 10. We can beat them on Saturday, and continue the 100% league record. Be confident!

    are you alex totten?

  8. seems to be a few folk not keen on the new design but i think its worth complimenting the folk who fill the site with content. its really good - pics, post match reaction, match reports, real time match updates - all there very quickly and comprehensive. thanks to them

  9. the access to the toilets at half time has become a joke with the queues for the catering hatches now stretching into the stadium areas. maybe get the countess of wemyss onto this one? lots of people commenting on stock running out at the catering outlets too. i remember in the past the catering being highly praised and them being on forums talking to fans. take it the people running the catering isn't them anymore?

  10. Having looked at Stenny's website I think it is fairly clear the scheme is aimed at home fans. Could an under 16 supporter of another club in that division apply for a season ticket and get in for free - yes. Is that likely or how Stenny market it - no.

If our website said that we are the only club who allow under 16s of both sets of fans free entry with or without a season ticket that would be clearer.

it probably would. if it was definitely true. if there's a chance that a club down the road is doing it then are we sure there isn't a club in the english leagues doing it?

i just read a tweet between @jagscast and someone who works at stennie called @pdw_13. he says any under 16 gets in for free, home or away fan.
