  1. This thread is a shambles. Absolute Thistle Da's on one. "Let's come up with a boycott plan on a forum that about 20 people read." If you really want to voice your opinion, it's as simple as going into the JLS, standing at the back and chanting sack the board...i'm sure it'll catch on.

I guess except for the ball to Doolan when he scored - or was that Booth

Definitely Cargill.  He can be quite good at well directed low passes into the attacking midfield area. One to Chris Erskine which set up the move for Stevie Lawless to score against St Johnstone is a good example. However, last night, apart from the one ball to Doolan and a strong driving run towards the end, he was generally to reduced to the same aimless high punts as the rest of the back line.

The ball was played by Woods for Doolan's goal

Was having a wee peruse of retro World Cup strips earlier and spotted this Colombia "Mashup" effort.

Obviously the blue flash on the sleeve is wrong, and I'm only dreaming, but would be well up for this as a Jags strip.

The upside down number on the back rather appeals too for some reason.

That's horrific, wouldn't surprise me if Joma came up with another shite kit

  4. I'm surprised not to have seen Azeez mentioned in this thread. I know that he brings a lot of other things to the team, but for me, his goals return has not been good enough for a front man. If we have Doolan, with Nesbit as a back up, should we be looking to replace Azeez ?

Imagine Spurs had gotten rid of Son last season who didn't have quite the return on goals that he has this season. He's finding his feet now and still very young. Definitely offers much more than just goals, hope to see the big man stay for a while yet

  5. Will be surprised to see Wilson or McDaid at the club next season. And I have to say I think Amoo will be gone as well. He just hasn't done it this season.

I'd certainly be surprised about McDaid since he's no longer a Thistle player :head_ball:

  6. Think it depends on a few things, how much of a part are lads like McCarthy and Nisbet going to play next season.

I'd keep Fraser on a contract similar to what Welsh got if his attitude is right. I'd be inclined to sign a striker and 2 centre halves (Lindsay dependant), by all accounts, he won't be here next season. No real point in us signing wingers, it doesn't suit us. Moreso, creative midfielders like Erskine, Lawless and Edwards I think.

  7. Anyone know why you can't pay to have a stadium tour like loads of other clubs do? I was asked this by an OF pal who said (yawn) 'Probably cos there's no much to see' and actually didn't know the answer. I would have thought that even doing it a few days a week might bring a few quid into the club. Anyone know?

My mum actually phoned the club a good few years ago and got me a tour. Must have been about 2003. Robert Reid took us round, the players were training on the pitch at the time. I think if you asked then they might do it.

  8. No TL, he took time to adapt. He scored a few goals in what ever the development side was at that time but didn't score for the first team until the last minute of the last game (I think it was maybe Stirling?), a goal out of nothing.

He scored against QoS about 2 weeks after signing for us

  9. What a lot of drama and knicker wetting over one persons claim. But seems as though the media and from what some others say they have him hook line and sinker and everyone from that era should be hung drawn and quartered. We will never know the truth with the bloke being dead etc. Respect has to be given to the club for being pro active in their investigations. Would be different if many more come forward but one persons word against another's and having kept a secret like that for almost 25 years meh i ain't buying into it just yet but time will tell....

I spoke to a colleague at work this morning who was playing for Thistle at the time. Gave me a pretty grim story of John Hart's attempted antics against him. Seems pretty legit.

  10. Interestingly, I stood up on Saturday because I couldn't see half the pitch if I was sitting. I was then shouted at by some older lady who couldn't understand that if I sat down that I couldn't see the game due to people standing up to my right. She took it as a personal attack on her and claimed that I just didn't want to sit down and was nothing to do with a view. Had she asked a bit nicer rather than grabbing the back of my jacket then I might have been less of an *********. I ended up having to move. She then must have realised she was wrong in the 2nd half as she moved further up the stand.

  11. His name is Krissy Doolan, the leader of our team

The greatest centre forward that the world has ever seen

He's here, he's there, he's everywhere to score the winning goal

and as for (insert ex Jag/hated player here) you can stick him up your hole

  12. Dazz, will I deffo be able to get tickets on the door on Saturday. Three of us are going to go, but it won't be until we do our dog sitting, or should that be shitting duties. Hope to be there around 8. Can I assume that Gary will be on last?

Yeah, he's on last, show will start at 8

  13. Gary Little is great, saw him a few times now. Only issue is that he does tend to recycle the same jokes whenever I've seen him.

Brand new set ready for the fringe Ian. We've had him before so we did make sure that he was doing a different set due to having a lot of the same people coming to each show.
