  1. Received this today - I don't have any further info, but feel free to contact Sarah directly if you are interested.

    Hi Davy,

Thanks for all your help via twitter regarding casting so far.

To properly introduce myself, my name is Sarah Stewart and I am a casting researcher at Black Sheep Studios in London.

I'm currently casting dedicated Scottish Premier League fans for a TV ad for a well-known betting agency.

We are aiming to film as early as next week. The fans selected will need to be available for a day's shoot in their hometown.

The role is paid and further details will be sent to the fans that are shortlisted.

If you are interested, please would you send me over the following ASAP (today, if possible):

    - The name of your team

    - A couple of photos: Perhaps including one of you kitted out in your team's gear?

    - A short bio: Your age (we can only accept fans 25+), where you live, how long you've been a fan and what the team means to you. Just a line or two would be sufficient.

    - Your availability next week and the following week

If you know of anyone else that might want to get involved, please do forward them my email. I am looking to cast a few fans per team and I will pass on their info to our producers ASAP.

    Best Wishes,

  2. Unfortunately I can't attend, but if anyone would be prepared to ask Archie these 3 questions.

    1) will hour get funds in January to strengthen the squad,

    2) can Richard-Evertons loan be recalled

    3) when can we expect to see Sean Welsh back playing football.

    Thanks guys in anticipation.

    AJ

Archie was excellent last night -

    1) yes, funds available for January

2)no - he's there till January. Archie explained that he has great potential, but still raw. Liam Lindsay likely to step up if we someone before then. Interestingly all of our loan players( other than Scully, I think) train Mon/ tues/fri with the rest of our squad, its a condition of any loan that archie insists on

    3) Welshy has been back in training for last 10 days - hoping to get him a game next week and see how he gets on

  3. That's an impressive list. Can you please remind us: apart from the subscription, what fund-raising activities give rise to the money for these kinds of supportive acts?

There's a fair bit! Scarfs & our "retro" strips (via ebay) have been popular; Xmas raffle, Xmas Cards, Race Nights and membership is up this year

Scarf is here, for those interested!

  4. As a lapsed member, and not hearing much of the JT these days, when you get a chance could you please give a few details of the work the Trust are currently doing?

Being a Nomad it's hard to find a way to contribute financially to the club, Tag notwithstanding :frantic: , but if the JT were seen as active contributors it'd be one financial option for people who couldn't attend games.

no point in detailing every penny but recently we've provided the strips for the Thistle Ladies squad; supported Maryhill Food Bank (donations and fund-raising); renewed our continued support to the club's match-day programme (sponsorship); made grants to the supporters buses to help them pay for buses to some of the furthest away-days; financially supported the setting up of the Disabled supporters association; bought new physiotherapy tables for the club... and loads more I've probably forgotten :)

  5. The Jags Trust AGM will take place two weeks from now on Thursday 2nd October, at Community Central Halls in Maryhill Road (next to Taggarts garage) starting at 7.30pm.

Following the official business will be our annual "Meet The Manager" Q & A, with manager Alan Archibald, where you can ask Archie your questions on the team and football in general!

The AGM is (obviously!) a members only event, but last year a number of you guys indicated that you would have liked to have attended the Meet The Manager part, so we are opening this up to all Jags fans, for a small entry fee.

The Meet The Manager section will start around 8.15pm and everyone is welcome to attend. Tickets are available in advance by email - [email protected] (or get me on Twitter @davymains or in the Fellow Jags Fans Facebook page) or you can just turn up on the night.

Entry is £5 with all proceeds going towards our continued work with the club and in the community.

You can join or renew your Trust membership on the night or via the website http://www.jagstrust.co.uk/join-the-trust/ to take part in the AGM and the Meet The Manager discussion.

    Individual Membership – £10

    Individual (Unwaged) Membership – £5

    Family Membership – £20

Any questions, just give me a shout - I've a mental day today, but will check back into the forum tomorrow.

  6. sooo... process seems a little complicated but here's my experience. I'd registered when it "launched" and requested a specific number, but didnt receive any confirmation.

So yesterday I tried the link, but discovered I needed a "TAG discount code" to register - I hadn't been sent that and it wasnt pre-populated so I phoned the office and got an email with it about 40 minutes later.

When registering, you get asked to pick a Unique TAG number - I tried the one I thought I'd reserved but it wasn't available, so tried lots of different ones (9) until I finally got one that was available. If you pick one thats been taken it just gives you an error message to say (something like) Incorrect details ... but does give suggestions

You should then get an email to say "thanks for creating your TAG account" - to start using you need to "complete your order" AND verify your email address by entering your TAG number, email address and a unique 16-digit code.

The code I was sent to verify my email address didnt work (error was wrong code)

I managed to complete my order (its like a shopping checkout - you need to "buy" your membership & pay for it - either £0 or the £60/ monthly option) and you should then get an email confirming that you've added your subscription to your account and you need to signin to your TAG account to see whats on offer. There's also then ANOTHER email to confirm your order number, which items you purchased, cost and the order status.

I've then tried to sign into my TAG account, but can't because it gives an error for "wrong password". I've asked to reset my password, but it asks for a username (?) - I've tried my TAG number and my email address, but havent yet received a new password or a reset link - that was an hour ago

Forget to add: you've got until 14th September to pick your TAG number. After that ST holders will be automatically signed up to a core membership and you'll be allocated a random TAG number

  7. the U16s "pricing" is basically that you have to pay £25 for a season ticket outwith the Kids Zone .... i.e. if you want your kids to sit next to you in any part of the JHS, except the zone reserved for 16s.

There has been zero contact (as far as I am aware) to arrange another meeting/ consultation/ update ....

  9. Club statements are a bit like buses. The first bus is the one that goes round all the houses then almost immediately followed up by the backtrack express. Anyway it's welcome to see us passengers can make a difference.

It's the passengers that pay the fares; without them there would be no need for buses ...

Thanks for the positive responses guys; let's hope we get the right response from the meeting

  11. STATEMENT FROM THE JAGS TRUST BOARD

It is particularity disappointing that the sweet taste of success in retaining our league status has been replaced by the bitterness of recrimination and division as a consequence of the decision of PTFC Ltd to impose the relocation of their own supporters.

There’s been a lot of discussion and argument since the news of a proposed “new seating plan” for our stadium was leaked. The Jags Trust is dismayed by the club’s handling of this situation. We are particularly disappointed that a poorly reasoned and frankly patronising statement has been the only official comment on the whole debacle. The statement issued by the club does not contain a specific reason as to why this change is required. There was no consultation with the fans, where we are sure a mutual agreement could have been reached, or even a vote where fans could tell the board what WE, the fans want. This is particularly galling given the repeated promises from AGM's and the recent TAG meeting that greater fan consultation would be taking place. Some weeks ago, in an entirely unrelated article, the Jags Trust programme article called for this enhanced consultation with fans to continue, in order to ensure that what was right about our first season in the top league was sustained and that every avenue could be explored to avoid a repetition of the bits that were wrong.

In our opinion, fans SHOULD NOT be treated like this – WE are the club, not the board of directors, not the management, not even the players at the end of the day. We have been there through good times and bad, through different divisions, through highs and lows – they are transient, we are the constant.

The creation of a new “Shed” in the North Stand has been universally acclaimed by those involved and associated with the club, as well as opposing fans coming to Firhill to support their team, and it would be a travesty to break this up, whilst damaging the goodwill of the fans yet again.

We therefore call upon the PTFC Board of Directors to reverse their decision to implement a new seating plan and to listen to the fans.

The Jags Trust, is anxious to contribute to the resolution of this unsavoury situation along with every other supporters group and every other fan, this decision will affect all who enter Firhill.

This issue goes beyond the matter of the North Stand, it strikes at the heart of the concept of us all being part of our club and of having a voice which is heard and not ignored. Neither is this a time for factions and fractions within our fan-base.

Now is the time to take a stand together and ensure we get our message across.
