Who was that spanish guy we had in the season with Gerry and Derek in the 1st?. I remember he scored a fantastic header against Airdrie at Firhill. I don't think he lasted the season.

No excuses our performance today. We seemed to get stuck in the middle alot and simply didn't know what to do. Flannigan was dreadful. Would like to know why he was left on for so long. The ref was dreadful today. He and that linesman on the jackie husband side were absolutely shocking. Still we should not be getting pumped 3 - 1 at home. Anybody know when archie is back?

Yes all sorted. Big thanks to Ian Maxwell who sorted it all out. Collected it today before the game.

Go to the EEoS night in Edinburgh tomorrow; Speak to Ian Maxwell about it; Get Ian's specific email address; Chase Ian if you haven't heard back within x days of him agreeing to sort it.
NB In the past, the Club has been very helpful in getting tops signed, but only if you supply the top (i.e. they don't dish out freebies). Assuming he agrees to assist (and why wouldn't he?), if you can make arrangements to get the top to Ian, then it should be fairly straightforward from there.
I suddenly thought about doing that.
It would make sense.

Hello! My Dad turns 70 in August and I am trying to organise a signed Thistle top for him as a present. I have never done this before and was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers.
I have emailed the club twice and so far have heard hee-haw! Would there be a particular person to contact about this? Any info/advice would be greatly received. My old boy is the reason why I follow Thistle and I know he would love to get a signed shirt as a present. Cheers!

It's a British broadcaster. The ref and linesman are British and are the ones that we see in British football regularly. Obviously they're going to have more to say about them than some other country's refs/players.
If Scottish people think English commentators are bad for 'going on', have a look down this messageboard. One thing more tedious than being Scottish during an English world cup campaign is supporting England at the world cup, whilst living in Scotland, and having to put up with the pathetic wee team, chip-on-the-shoulder perspectives of 9 in 10 people here. If you don't want a British perspective on commentary when you're watching Brazil-Chile, move to Rio or Santiago.
But it's not a 'british' commentary. It's a total biased 'english' commentary. It is totally based on an english perspective. It should only be broadcast in England. What I would prefer would be a Scottish commentary team covering the world cup regardless of whether or not Scotland is there. And we could all moan about Chick Young!
