  1. Jeez. So the club are either lying or incompetent?

Maybe they were just toe-ing a ridiculous party line. There was no official inspection planned( the SPFL wouldn't do one).

I'll chuck in something else. I'd heard that Aberdeen had requested that hour by hour updates not be given. They wanted only official communication.

Did The club say "the game is not in doubt"? I'd be amazed if that were the case.

  2.

The game was called off 4 hours before k.o. That's the equivalent of an 11am call off for a 3pm game. That seems reasonable given that we now also know that the club had been trying to get an inspection all day.

In addition we know we've had covers on the affected area. And we've been using lamps. The pics show an improvement since motherwell game in terms of grass etc.

It's disappointing . I'm sure everyone at the club is disappointed. I know-having spoken to a key BT Sport person-they are equally frustrated. Not at Thistle. At the way the authorities are completely disorganised.

What is more disappointing is that some fans-without any knowledge of the situation- suggest the club lied to fans. Or deliberately

mislead fans. Hopefully, on reflection, they'll revise their knee-jerk reaction. Maybe in time they'll apologise too.

  3. Iain. You are just making stuff up. There was no pitch inspection "planned" because the SPFL hadn't agreed to one.

If it had been left up to them, the referee -Alan Muir-would have turned up at 5.30 as per his remit and called it off.

As it happened they finally managed to get Bobby Madden over at 3.30 and he did the inspection.

Perhaps the problem is as someone points out. Refs have other jobs and the SPFL had no-one available earlier. It's telling that the match referee didn't do it, which suggests he wasn't available.

I appreciate this is difficult because it's doesn't suit your agenda.

If you have facts-not speculation- to the contrary, i'm sure we would all be happy to read them.

  4. I'd hoped never to darken the forum again but the shite that is being talked compels me.

My information is that the club have been requesting a pitch inspection since early morning. The SPFL refused, saying it would be 5.30 as per the normal referee inspection. They relented at 3.30. Therefore the club have not being telling "bare-faced lies" as some would have us believe. They were giving out accurate information. There was no planned pitch inspection.

As for the tv money. We haven't lost that. It's shared out equally regardless.

I'll let you all get back to it now.

  5. Enjoy the night. Great win.

Back to work on Monday though. Calling out the charalatans that would have

sacked the manager, ripped up 4 years work and installed an "experienced" coach. Great thing is, ther's nowhere

    to hide.

  6. You didn't Auld Jag. A few did. Sure you have a right to an opinion. Like i do. My opinion is that when the team and manager needed the fans most, a number on here were found wanting. The took no noice of track record, ignored performances, and took the short term route. A route that has been disaster in the past.

It's the same people as last season . And the season before that too.

Let that haters hate though, when we turn it around, they'll disappear. Just like they did last season. Or they'll jump on the bandwagon and hyopcritically praise the guy they wanted sack and replaced by Mark McGhee etc.

    Anyway, i'm done now .

  7. That was coming. Killie and Dundee games could easily have gone the same way. Hopefully brings a bit if confidence and the team can kick on from here.

By the way, must be rare to see a team on a losing run continue to play football like that. How many passes on the lead up to the first goal? Full credit.

    This.

  8. So when we lose, you lot get to ridicule the manager, call his abilities into question, start a thread asking whether he should be sacked in the lead up to a game v our nearest rivals?

9 weeks you've been spouting this sort of pish folks. What's laughable is half of you don't even attend games. You sit on here criticising team selection and tactics.

You've been bang out of order and now is the time to shut it for a few weeks.

Purely in my opinion of course. Which as we know, is as perfectly valid as yours.

Ps . "I would never tire of punching you"? What a classy family this Thistle family is eh?

  9. Fantastic stuff today.

To be fair to AA with the exception of Frans, today is the first time that he's been able to get all his first team on the field and we were very good.

Dumbuya and Pogba look like they might be cracking signings.

Admin. I think this and a few other accounts might have been hacked?

  10.

    Unnecessarily triumphalist and divisive.

    Not nice.

Fed up listening to unnecesarily negative and divisive pish all season, so i don't care about the sensitivities of the few on here who deserve it and deserve it tight.

There's a group of Thistle fans who need to take a look at themselves. The title of this thread says it all. Hypocrites clapping away like wee seals today, i bet.

"Well done Archie"? What an absolute nerve some of you lot have.

As for "not appropriate"? There's a barrowload of inappropriate drivel been directed at the manager for weeks, but that was an opinion? Free speech? Entitled?

What's good for the goose and all that, so suck it up. #inarchiewetrust

  11. LSR it is because I have seen the effects of relegation has had with us I don't want us to go down.Apart from when we came back up in 1971 it has meant years struggling.I think some on here think if we go down we would come back in 1 season with a young team.I dont have a crystal ball but I don't see that happening. I don't want Archie sacked but I do want to see us playing at the highest level possible.Archie has done a brilliant job but for whatever reason it has not worked this season.I know if we bring in a new manager there is no guarantee we will stay up,but imo we have to do something to turn our season around.I notice some posters are saying we shouldn't sack him,but then say if we haven't won in the next 4/5 games he would walk,so you want rid of him but on the cheap.Imo he wont walk would you? Also if we don't improve what sort of crowds will we have?

Its not about wanting rid on the cheap. It's allowing him to manage and take responsibility. That's what he's paid for.
