    If you've been supporting Thistle for all of those years, you'll be struggling to think of a time in the top flight when a managerial changed worked out for the best.

     

    Auld to Cormack wilderness for a decade

     

    Lambie to Murdo Division two football escaping division three by a baw hair.

     

    Lambie to Collins to Whyte/Britton led to the worst football at Firhill and a period which is blamed for driving away so many regular fans. So i'd be very very careful what you wish for because we are in real danger of crippling the club financially for a decade if we pay off the current management team and bring in someone new. Where is that money coming from? No-one seems to have an answer.

     

    This is also bigger than just Thistle. There's a whole new dynamic opened up in the league now. Dundee Utd are looking for a new manager. Who says it will work out? If they go for McIntyre then Ross County are looking for a manager. Who says that will work out? If they go for Tommy Wright, St Johnstone are looking at upheaval. Motherwell are currently looking for a manager. Killie are teetering on the brink too.

     

    It's time for cool heads. Not arbitrary decisions about how many games Archie has left. Personally i think it's more about the level of performance than the result, although clearly i want to win as much as anyone else.

    Couldn't be there tonight and gutted but man what a result, made up with that, thought the team was looking good, would still like another couple of signings but wow Archie you really are the best gaffer since lambo himself, 4-0! Against the dirty cheating time wasting little mob tonight made it even better roll on dundee,mon the jags.

    nah he was £25,000 I remember seeing it being announced on the website, I just thought no matter how hard he tried he was just absolute garbage, good luck to the big guy at Alloa though, I remember the majority of the shed and myself booing him at Hamilton last year and the next day he got let go, felt a bit crap about it to be honest, but he was pretty bad, no mistake.

    In my opinion from now to the end of the season this is the biggest game for us In terms of getting over the finish line. Airdrie have been tanked 5-0 by teams like accies etc lately and are as good as relegated in everyone's eyes. Despite this a 1-0 win would do me lovely as they won't be pushovers just making a calling to those who were up on Wednesday and don't usually attend to come and help the boys in the biggest game in my eyes in the promotion run in from now till the end of the season. Lets finish the job. :D

    Not been on this in ages since I normally use the fellow jags page on Facebook. But just so ecstatic at our position I thought I'd stop by, well done lads was a great night tonight, when I heard that whistle I finally realised how close we are now LET'S FINISH THE JOB, WE ARE THISTLE!!!!!

    This is probably pish but apparently according to wikipedia(probably utter crap) that Paul cairney has signed a pre-contract with hibs. Now if this was somehow true 1. That is stupid from hibs as he is out of contract anyway and 2. Do we get cash for him if it's a pre-contract?

    Fantastic finale couldn't have hoped for any better thanks to all WD fans on the forum for giving their opinions on the show and making it so much more interesting to discuss hopefully resurrect this thread in the autumn when the show returns :)
