Did Neil McCann get sacked?
-
Yong Aidan Fitzpatrick started today for Scotland's U17s in their qualifier against Andorra which the young Scots won 2-1
And Neil McLaughlin scored for Stirling Albion on loan....

Lineups for Tuesday?
Cerny (if fit)
Keown Devine Turnbull
McGinn Edwards Bannigan Elliott
Spittal Doolan Erskine
Are you aiming to test what would happen if we fielded an ineligible player? 3-0 victory to the opposition and a fine. That's the rule. Unless you are Oldco....
-
BBC stats say we committed 10 fouls. We got six cards including McGinn for a perfect tackle. Would be good to get more equitable treatment on Tuesday...

Storey may be coming after all.

Tade played for Stranraer and that looks like a Stranraer club tie. More likely just a guest of a former club?
-
No cut and paste. Not sure I understand that, David? I did see Barton playing for the U20s if that's what you're meaning.
I was just joking, but your Banton assessment was close to what I recall as the underwhelming assessment of Barton when he turned out for the Development Squad. Hopefully Banton makes a similarly big impact for the first team as Barton has.
-
Saw him play three quarters of the U20 match last week. Probably not quite match fit yet. Well I hope that's the case as he wasn't a stand out by any means. Had a few good touches, alternated between a wide left position to a striker's role a couple of times. Looked more comfortable in the former.
Was that not the early verdict on Barton? Did you just cut and paste?

What was his record when on loan at Clyde?
Zero goals in 9 appearances I think. Doolz early years at Firhill were not that stellar. We were playing at a level below our current status and at Clyde Doolz was two levels below. That is one reason I think the fans should cut Azeez some slack. He just turned 23 andnis playing at a higher level than Doolz at that age. If he can gain a bit of composure I believe goals will come. With his strength and pace he gets into great positions.
-
Is there a giant list of all Doolz goals? Anyone compiling a video of as many of them as possible?
-
Agree about Sean, he has certainly shut a few of the moaners up, though the one thing he does need to improve is stop getting caught in possession especially after he has done something well. You don't get a lot of time in this league to stand and think what you are going to do next. Only a select few players in this league have that quality.
True, but it helps if fellow Jags players give him an outlet though.
Welsh was just the latest scapegoat. Scully got it last season and showed the moaners up. Ditto Welsh.

This point has been made several times. Its flawed though. Is that what happens if you dare to dream of better? St Mirren ****** up when they appointed Tommy Craig not through lack of ambition
You seem a bit mixed up.

Accies seem to get good money for not such great players. Besides Hendrie, they got £1M for Tony Andreu who is on loan at Tannadice.
I agree with much of Iain's post. A lot of recent Scottish exports have failed to cut it: Hemmings and Greg Stewart have bombed in the EFL so far as did Stevie May before them. McArthur, McCarthy and Robertson all made a big impact though.
I do find it funny that Liam Lindsay has been slaughtered on here yet there are now people demanding we hold out for millions in a transfer fee.

Was reading BBC online article about likely transfer window targets and noted that Tony Watt, Miles Storey and Joe Dodoo have scored their only goal(s) at Firhill in 2-1 wins against us.
Reminded me of our first season up again when Amido Balde, Calvin Zola and Josh Magennis could pretty much only score against us too.
Why does it happen to us?
-
Don't think I have ever seen water flowing down Firhill Road like it was at the end yesterday. It was like a river outside the North Stand at time up yesterday. Players deserve credit for playing in that. I think you could see the jags players visibly wilting in the last 20 minutes
I wonder if Killie using that hyper-chilled recovery chamber is actually working. They also had an extra day between games.
-
Suspended for Killie. As is Booth. Lindsay must be doubtful too.
Not according to the official site. Abs and Devine out for ICT. Archie hopeful Liam will be ok for Killie.
-
Maybe the fans who go to the away games are more supportive and less negative than the bulk of the home support and that feeds through to the players. Or maybe it is just random.
This season has so far been really like our first season up. I think we are playing better football than the last couple of seasons but conceding crap goals due to individual errors and missing good chances, especially at home. There have been some poor performances but they have been the exception.
This is a good Thistle team by the standards I have experienced over more than 40 years. I understand the frustration but the negativity and slagging that gets doled out by some fans at games and on here is ridiculous.
I know it is a two way street, but it would be good to have a positive atmosphere at Firhill for the next two games. We could be up to 6th or back to 12th....Here's hoping.

Thiste must have had some amazing Cup runs when Willie Sharp was playing for Doolz to be that close to all time top League scorer. Hope he hits that ton asap!
-
A new stand may well be needed if the main stand eventually fails to make the grade.
PROPCO control the future of the Main stand also. The plan for which permission has been granted is appalling and would destroy the stadium.

Nothing at all wrong with cleaning windows. My wife's cousin does it and there have even been songs and films featuring it.
I think the point being made was that had Bobby played in the current era he may have been sunning himself on the Algarve post retirement age rather than working on the Clyde coast. That is all....

Just read the preview. I see the club is kowtowing to the myth of relegation.
http://www.statto.co...2/between-dates
I understand we have to try to protect our fans and buses and our seats and toilets when they come calling but it must be possible to find a form of words that avoids the sore point without lying? Like "Since TRFC had to climb up from division 3". And I don't go along with "put it in the past". They cheated, they dodged their taxes, lied to the SFA and they've (neither owners or fans) never shown the slightest remorse for it. Why should they get thier own way and we pretend that it was all OK so we don't hurt their feelings? (Apart of course from their putting you on their list of "enemies of Rangers" of course.)
100% correct. The old club was not, as the preview states "demoted". They were liquidated. Like Gretna, Airdrionians and Third Lanark. Deid.

Conrad scored the opener for Ayr in their unexpected win at Easter Road yesterday.
More importantly, Kevin Nesbit provided the assist for the winner.

Just came across this from the other night. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/watch-partick-thistle-youth-team-8791612
If the ranters who sit behind me witness anything like this on Saturday they will explode. Whatever happened to getting it up the park?

Both Dan Seabourne and Adam Barton played for Coventry under Steven Pressley. Coincidence?

They have the advantage of having played Dundee twice (and gaining 6 PTS from them).
