Just been searching through the Press and Journal (Highland equivalent of OF Record) and theres not a word about Saturdays game at all. they dont like being beaten these sheep shaggers !!

Perhaps safer to claim biggest premier league field. and sorry, isnt ET but cant find source now , stats are correct. Ibrox for example is 105m x 68m as ae most other surfaces , Dens Park is 5m shorter !!

Found it interesting that according to stats from E.T. , Firhill is the largest playing surface of any team in Scotland , 105m x 69m.

Sellick will have one eye on their European mission and hopefully will forget that they have the very unpredictable Harry Wraggs to contend with beforehand. Deila is getting a bit too cocky now and I believe he will field a very weakened team against us, at least thats what my optimism is telling me , so roll on tonight and lets hope my thoughts will become reality , im forecasting a 1-0 home win !! yep, totally agree with you Scotty, some would find fault with their own shadow , real grumps, get a life and try look on the bright side for a change !!! Great idea , and if i make it this weekend i will most definitely give something .

I want to make the trip down to Glasgow for this one but the referee in charge is putting me right off, I wouldnt recommend him as a ballboy !! Its time he was removed from the list of refs for senior games, a total numpty and a disgrace to the beautiful game !!
Edited: Perhaps a nationwide petition could be organised to have him removed !!

By all accounts given the amount of balls hoisted into the box on Friday then we are a couple of days late in getting Lyle back, i'm sure he wouldnt have been bundled off the ball so easily and wouldve stuck at least one away !!

Never saw that one coming !! Lyle Taylor has returned to us on loan from Scunthorpe , does that mean he could be signing permanently for next season ?

Just want to say a big welcome to Callum Booth, I'm sure he'll enjoy his time at Firhill and hopefully be a success with us to the extent that he gets offered a deal to sign permanently.

Agree with everything said so far , crappy surface only fit for bowling !! Osman didnt have a good game at all, but give him the benefit of the doubt ie., surface, thought the Thistle fans made the atmosphere yet again at an away game , for a "wee" club its admirable that almost 1,000 fans turned out albeit just down the road, and kept their part up as the 12th man. Not a good game to watch but its a valuable point which, if the referee hadn't already been criticised lately, we might not have got, Collum was woeful once again and high time he was told to walk away from the game he knows very little about .

I thoroughly enjoyed tanking the lower league sides 2 years ago when we won the last first division championship, great football from the Jags , and am now enjoying most of the games in the upper echelons, just hope we get a good cup run starting with humping the false jags, am happy with the way the board is running the club, onwards and upwards , I love being a Jagsman !!!

Deeply shocked and moved by the tragedy which I'm sure we all are and that a minutes silence will be observed around all the grounds this weekend , thoughts are with those who lost loved ones , relatives and friends and hope they find the comfort needed to deal with their sad loss.

Always liked the lad , a genuine tryer and pretty useful in the team , i'd like to see him used more often , deserves the starts he's had lately, one for the future to look out for .

The whole successful team of the '71 era was destroyed when bone left for Norwich, never the same again, best link up duo in the whole country at the time , brilliant to watch , and can the Holland team of the Spain world cup campaign ever be emulated ? the "w" attack formation , a centre forward,2 wingers and 2 inside men ( carrying the ball from defense to attack ) , behind them a half back line , then the two full backs , solid defence structure , ah but , the modern game !! no wonder the crowds continue dwindling .

When the Bone/Coulston partnership was split apart , Thistle were not the same force if I remember correctly , Jimmy Bone and Frank Coulston were a key part of that memorable era circa early '70. There was other speculation surrounding Jimmy's departure from the Canaries, which I will refrain from mentioning !!
