  1. I've always wanted to be able to post a reply like this . . . . . . When I was talking with Alan Archbald last week in (a Secret Location) we discussed pre-season plans.

When I say 'discussed' I actually mean I said "Hello there, howz it goin, are you enjoying a wee holiday with the family?", "You all ready for the pre-season or still planning it?"

I will not disclose his comments as it is not my place to but . . . . . . he did hint on 'looking at something beginning with . . . . . "M". . . . .' (I think but I was not wanting to overstay my welcome when he and his family were enjoying a wee baguette before going on to do family things.

I returned to my seat in the shade to text my friends/family back home of who I'd just had sit just a couple of tables away. The folk next to me had already 'googled' him to see if I was about to make a t!t of myself when I said "Look it's Archie, I'm going to go and say hello" They thought I'd been in the sun too long and hallucinating!! :secret:

Sorry for being a tease but he did say where he was looking into so I don't think it was a definite at all.

It was nice to see him with his wife and kids chilling out. :thumbsup2:

    So we are playing Morton?
  2. Was at golf outing today and got some gossip which I know we all love....

Kris Boyd will not be going to Rangers as Swally told him he didn't want him to beat his scoring record(true)

Rangers are unable currently to offer any contracts for next season as financially they cannot guarantee to be able to fund the length of the contract

Hearts max wage for next season is 3k

    Lyle Taylor to Hearts

    Hamilton interested in Kris Boyd

Make of it what you will.....reasonable source

Why would Taylor go to Hearts when there are premiership clubs interested? And much bigger clubs than accies could land Boyd. Not suprised about the Sally thing but
  3. He was back in mexico seeing his family a couple of weeks a go, dont know if he is still out there, apparently he was responsible for injuring both fox and gallacher so i have no idea what the players or management think of him at training, be a shame for him taking time to settle in scotland only get released by the club. Would be dissapointed with archie and the club if that is the case.

  4. was at the morton queens game today and witnessed first hand the death of a morton fan in the stand.

terrible to see, the man got cpr for 20 minutes straight with about 5 different people (stewards and fans) giving the man cpr

the man collapsed about 2 minutes into the game and the match brought to a stop roughly 10 minutes in witha 1 minute interval with the match then getting called off

the most chilling bit was when the white sheets went up to guard him from view. RIP to the guy.

jumped of the train at paisley st james and got into the thistle game at half time, wasnt too impressed with what i saw today

with utd motherwell and aberdeen coming next im struggling to see where our next point(s) is coming from.

  5. i agree with everything in the OP and find people calling for archies head an embarrassment to the club, and still think that even 8th is a realistic target if we can get some home wins, the thing that frustrates me that i wasnt expecting at the start of the season is the amount of games we should have won and threw away points.

    season is far from over!

  6. my reply to the complaint i made regarding sportscene on 2/1/14

Your comments were passed to the Editor of TV Sport, who has asked that I forward his response as follows:

"We understand your disappointment that on this occasion the performance of Partick Thistle was not discussed. The general feeling on the programme from the start of the season has been unequivocal in saying that Partick Thistle has been a breath of fresh air to the Premiership. On many occasions our pundits have highlighted and talked about the attractive brand of football the team plays, the management of Alan Archibald and the contribution of players – notably Kris Doolan, Stephen O’Donnell and Scott Fox. On 30th December, the studio panel also highlighted the signing of Lyle Taylor as a very shrewd piece of business.

Time is of the essence for Sportscene, with six matches to cover in 45 minutes. It can be a challenge to make sure everything gets addressed and we do our best to talk about the key events.

On occasion, however, the editorial remit of the show dictates that sometimes more general discursive points dominate the studio discussion and this was one such example. The pundits on the night – Michael Stewart and Kenny Miller – had strong feelings in regard to the comments made by Neil Lennon about the recent performances of his team and Kenny, in particular, was interested in taking the point further and giving his own opinion. As a former Rangers and Celtic player we felt he was in a unique position to contribute his own opinions. The festive period is almost as hectic for the production of Sportscene as it is for the football industry itself with eight programmes in 13 days. We would like to think that on balance over that period and the season so far, the performances of Partick Thistle have been fairly reflected.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your observations and we hope you continue to watch Sportscene between now and the summer."

Details of the BBC complaints process are available online at http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/handle.shtml

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

  7. might be worth going for :

    fox

    o'donnell muirhead piccolo ats

    lawless craigen forbes higgy

    taylor doolan

to make it a bit easier on the midfield leaving kerr to come on for 20 minutes or even mcmillan. wilson and muirhead also have done well in midfield.

  8. was at the hamilton game today with my queens supporting mate, ziggy looked decent but had a quiet game, a bit of pace about him aswell, as for queens ive seen them on a few occasions and the only standout who looks like he could potentially step up is durnan at the back, boy seems to have a cracking pass on him aswell
