Mukendi should be reviewed on performances on the reserves then if he impresses given his chance. Your Baird as scapegoat is getting quite boring, how about you start getting behind the team? I noticed you seemed to have it in for Forbes a couple of weeks ago against Ayr as well.. Yes Doolan should be first striker but Baird can be useful coming off the bench.
Good post and don't see mukendi near the first team squad anytime soon.

Usual mcguigan throwing his hands in the air and moaning at officials, good luck at the rovers and hope he does well but not who we need for the tough year ahead.
-
This wee guy will prove to be a great signing.
-
wee baird would be a great signing for the jags and was very close last year!!

what exactly is the build for the spl? he's no kicked a baw in the first division, failed to impress both jackie and archie,we can't be hanging onto deadwood going into the spl, the 2nd division at best is his level. get shot of him.i would love to see him come gd but I don't see it, Baird was outstanding in the first but has been anonymous in the spl. would rather keep Craig than McGuigan
wee baird never played much under barry smith but has scored a few goals over the last six weeks since playing under the bomber!!!!!!!!! i would fancy him next year! :thumbsup2:

I've been to every home league game this season...got to Firhill a bit earlier tonight to find that tickets were sold out...clearly I'm a neutral and not a genuine fan.

positive thread and all still to play for, best players we have on the park in proper position!! we will have a great chance!!!!!!!!

I haven't been a fan of Hugh Murray and was disappointed when I saw he was playing today though I could understand the logic of having his experience particularly with Archie not in the side.
A few people seemed to think he was having a good game but I can't say I agree - at best he was ok...apart from the kamikaze pass to Fox in the first half and the numerous free kicks he gave away. But for me the biggest problem is that he is a very limited player in a team that is striving to play a sharp pass and move style...when he gets the ball, his first instinct seems to turn and play a short pass back to our central defenders then doesn't make space to build an attack leaving little option other than to punt the ball forward.
I actually thought he was the victim of a ridiculous challenge and didn't do much more than make towards the Morton player in an aggressive manner...but for a player whose main asset is as an old head to behave like a hothead is no use to the club.
Three sendings off in a season is unacceptable.
good post m8.

What a f**k-up thing that Scottish professional football is. Even, EVEN, on the cusp of great success the manager walks away. We all know that there is very little loyalty in football but this is bad.
Just another four months, that’s all, and our club could have achieved something we’ve all craved for years. I really hope we still do.
MacNamara is very wealthy young man, he could have had a nice enhancement to his CV at the end of the season when plenty clubs would be eying him up.
But no he couldn’t wait to dump us.
Sorry MacNamara, no am not, but you don’t get my good wishes.
got to agree with the above, whats done is now done thoughi fancy wee colin cameron as his replacement.

thought both erskine and forbes were excellent today as were most of the team, again murray although showing plenty of endevour does appear to be our weakest link!!!!!!!

I think the original post is a bit of an over-reaction.
However, my take on it, I think there is a lot more going on than just a dip in form.
I think we have a serious problem at Firhill of people patting themselves on the back for a job half done.
I think many of the players heads have been turned by all the attention they've been getting from other clubs, and a lot of them are probably already thinking to next season and where they'll be playing. I'm pretty certain that at least 2 players have already committed themselves to other clubs - which is their right by law.
Furthermore this could equally apply to Jackie and Sid, and I'm sorry but last Sunday's Herald article should not have been published and certainly hasn't helped anyone at PTFC.
It's basic errors and and lapses in concentration that have been costing us recently, and that to me suggests that there are other things on peoples minds when they go out on to the park.
great post, nail on the head.still all to play for and i am sure jackie and sid will get us there.

getting a wee bit worried masel with the terrible away form!!!!!!! too many of our young lads believing their own press imo!!!!!!!! maybe a step back required.
-
He'll be cracking up front for us alongside John Baird...
maybe not too far off the mark. :thumbsup2:

loved big hardie in the old days and was a great jag but hopefully our young guns will take care of the mental one!!!!!!!!!!!! just hope they dont get kidded by his gamesmanship. :thumbsup2:

I think you might just be right m8,he needs to forget his frustrations and niggles and just play with a positive mind and I do think it will come.
