  1. Was really disappointed with Salmond last night and I'm a Yes voter. Why he spent time on the 'driving on right side of road' or 'increased exposure to alien landing' nonsense is beyond me. I wanted him to boss Darling, and he should have.

Clear winners last night for me were BT as they are already leading most polls and I can't see too many jumping to Yes camp based on last night.

I can't believe that nobody in BT hasn't read the currency options/proposals. Why they want them ranked A-E is bizarre to me.

  2. Not trying to stir anything, but I would have thought it would have been worth a mention on OS. I know he probably wasn't contracted to us anymore, but given what he's contributed over the past few years, I'm sure they could have offered a public thanks and best wishes.

  3. Gone in 90 minutes

    Always home in June

    Think again

No expectations were damaged in this campaign

    Road to nowhere

    Disappointment via optimism

Or I'll shorten my earlier suggestion to the more optimistic 'Rampant!'

I quite like the Arthur Montfort suggestions earlier.

  4. I used to pay £30 for a reserved seat for my kid and I wouldn't begrudge it again.

For me though, the problem with kids go free started when we wanted to 'capture data' on the kids that attended. If you went to one game, and were approached by a clipboard you got a season ticket sent to you. Very few kids actually applied or proactively sought to own a season ticket - the club just doled them out in return for some info on them. It's no wonder so many remain uncollected.

Sorry for bringing this up again - it seems to have slipped a bit in the last few days and I've not been online for ages.

  5. Look, moving the NS into the JHS wouldn't work as to move them en masse now would more than likely mean that other season ticket holders would be asked to move. Given the strength of feeling, they might agree to a move, but it would be an administrative mess and is unnecessary.

Nobody should be asked to permanently sit in the Main stand - it's fine for away fans who will visit at most twice in a season, but not up to a standard to ask somebody to shell out £200+ a season to sit there. Improvements muted should be made as they are necessary, but not as a sweetener for our fans.

I'm a JHS season ticket holder.

  6. Really pleased that we seem to be heading for some kind of consultation.

My issue with this is that the supporters federation is a club construct and they seem to be able to mobilise them and call them in for discussions. Is this a fair summary? For instance - Ian or PT - do you know who the individual reps are and are you able to contact them? If not then I suggest that the SF is something that is looked at in terms of how it can actually work for the fans independent from the club. A SF meeting should be able to be called without it actually being the club who call it. I signed up for TAG, but have no idea who my SF rep is or what 'branch' I've been put into. Do SF reps have any details of who they are representing? Or does the club hold all the info and therefor pull all the strings?

  7. Completely spot on. There has been an overwhelming show of support. That should not be wasted.

I can't say enough thanks especially to the JHS fans who have supported the need to have this decision completely rescinded.

Ian and I are working away in the background on a strategy to take to the board a complete package of information on why this can't go ahead.

I would ask that everyone continue to show their support. Sign the petition, tick the appropriate box in the poll.

    Contact the club directly.

All of this puts forward a case to have this changed.

Thanks again to everyone who has posted on here. We will not let this slip.

That sounds at least like something organised is going on, so that's positive.

Hope you can make them see sense soon - if season tickets go on sale without a rethink, it will make things a bit more urgent.

  8. Right sorry if this is patronising, but it's just what i'm thinking just now.

We've got to try and find a constructive way to reach as many fans as possible - there's probably a fair amount of people that will only have read the official site, and are probably unaware of how disingenuous it is. We don't want to ask them to withhold season ticket money, mearly tell them why we're taking this stance and let them decide if they agree with our course of action. Main Stand season tickets will probably be attractive to some, especially if they are going to reduce the price. If the club proceed as planned and any season tickets are sold for this area, it might make it harder to reverse. Therefore, we've got to find a way of contacting as many people as possible quickly.

If your intention is to put your renewal on hold until the decision is reversed then renew, please try and keep the season ticket cash aside. It will do nothing if we threaten not to renew, the decision is reversed, then we don't renew anyway - we'll have nothing to bargain with in the future. If you are just not renewing then fair enough.

Time for people to screw the nut and put personal differences aside - we've not had a complete summary of any meeting/discussion to date, but we've hopefully heard enough to be sure we're all in agreement that this situation is unacceptable.

Anyway, I kind of feel like i'm removing the pin and tiptoeing away, but anybody got any ideas on the next steps? Just feel we now need to unite under one banner for this and future disagreements. (I'm not in the Jags Trust and am not fishing for a clamor for this as a solution)

  9.

Yeh, alx, same with me. Hadn't received a small cash prize after a couple of months. Phoned up and was told sorry cheque would be posted out. Said not to bother as I was coming in for something or other and to save postage. Told cheque would be waiting. Turned up to collect cheque and was told thru the receptionist that Ian Maxwell says he posted it out that morning. Needless to say no cheque arrived.

Are all these issues recent (I.e this season)? I cancelled my subscription because they didn't seem to be able to run it on time, but I thought things had improved recently. Worse than poor if people aren't getting their prizes and actually being told they have been sent.

  10.

I suggested we offer a non Celtic season ticket as an alternative option. They hadn't thought of that.

Was just about to suggest much the same - other clubs (including OF) do it. Charge NS season tickets £20 less - you decide if you want to go to Celtic game and buy a ticket separately for that. No extra admin needed.

  11. Oh FFS - as somebody else said, if we just take that moving for the Celtic game is a given and they announce this just now, surely that alleviates any issues. You could even select your main stand seat along with your ST seat incase we draw the old firm in any cups. I'm unlucky enough to have my ST seat on the spot where they erect rigging for a camera at the back of the JH whenever a game is televised - they contact me every time this is an issue.

Are they cutting back on office staff - how much trouble can this be vs. the extra income we get from Celtic games? Is it worth this amount of bad feeling?

  12. We were advised that the club wants to progress, and to allow the club to progress, one thing that would be required, would be to move the NS singing section to the main stand permanently. A couple of other reasons were given, which quite frankly I don't have the balls to repeat for fear of making the club look even more ridiculous than the afore mentioned reason makes them look.

It's true what they say - money and power really do corrupt people. Lance and Maxi. F@ck sake. They get given titles and are comfortable representing this crap to PT and IM.

Not having a go at you PT but don't know who you think you are protecting - we'd be as well knowing the full story and reasons behind them. I'm sure we'd rather hear it from you - at least you are trusted and you won't be telling us anything that is untrue. Let us know how ridiculous the boards reasoning is. Or do they get a chance to read this forum and make a sanitised statement and the truth about their planning is suppressed? Many people are saying they'll be here long after the current board are gone and this is true - why let such temporary custodians 'off the hook'?

Anyway, I'd rather have the facts that can let me make a decision about what I do with my cash - reading the forum I can see many have opinions on this, but without the facts a lot of it is speculation. Can we please have the full story from you or Ian - I'm sure the club will have a statement soon and I'd rather know if it was truthful or disingenuous.

  13. They play ICT on Tues so hopefully Hughes & Co can do us a favour by gubbing them and running them ragged. As long as we go up there and go at them then we have a real chance of getting 3 points.

Not just relevant to this game but looking at the fixture list up to the break, at least four of our remaining games are against teams who have a midweek fixture prior to playing us, whereas we do not. The only midweek game we have is vs Celtic and we play St.Johnstone the weekend after that, who also have a midweek fixture. Got to say, I'm feeling a lot more confident after scoring 6 in the last two games and with Saturdays performance.
