    Aw man! I'm not on here as much as I'd like to be but I'm completely saddened (but not wholly stunned) by this news. I'm one of those who thought the JT was getting somewhere and was pleased to see some form of stability and communication emerging. But I can understand the frustrations.

     

    As David says a couple of pages back, there are 3 options: 1. do nowt, 2. try to change it, or 3. rebuild. I'm never a fan of number 1, and when number 2 don't work, it's 3 all the way for me. Whether JT, work or home life, there is no pleasure taken when there's no progress. And having failed to source a brand new supply of brick walls for myself and my team at work, it's change, change, change afoot! They'd better be ready!!

     

    Thanks to David, Tom and Graeme for all they have done. Appreciate it guys.

  8. Player Sponsorship?

    As the flow of funds into the Nomads pot seems to have dried up somewhat, we've had some discussions around whether we should just close our appeal for donations and add what's in there now to the We Are Thistle sponsorship fund. It doesn't look like the Nomads are going to raise enough for any further sponsorship on their own.

     

    Thoughts?

     

    Possibly, or if Nomads are thinking about PotY award at the end of the season, it could go towards that. But donations have been made to sponsorship so it's how best to handle the 'raffle'.

    There you go then and Ballarat must be the most convenient place for all these Thistle fans to meet - now there's a statement I didn't think I'd ever make. If it was a Jags convention I'd travel, infact "I would walk 500 miles......" (that would still take me just round the corner a bit).

     

     

    Hopefully a newsmail going out this week and I'll happily include this Aussie meet in it. To give all Aussie nomads a contact point, where best to direct them? Mail you direct? Lead them on here and get them to sign up? Facebook?

    Good news Nomads!!

     

    We have a willing volunteer for taking over the mantle of Secretary...... may I introduce you to NZJag!!!!!! :) A TRUE Nomad Secretary!

     

    Both myself and Tam will work on updating folks with a new Nomad email address and get the next newsmail out to you all.

     

    Many thanks to Tam for stepping in and I'm sure you'll all be supportive of his work.

    Quickly dipping out of work for 2 mins....

     

    As mentioned in the last Nomad newsmail, my time online is being severely curtailed due to living a more nomadic lifestyle than I ever envisaged. I AM a Pikey! :(

     

    Access at work is not limited but I kinda need this job so not ripping the proverbial. Access outside of work is zilcho. Trust me to set up camp in the ONLY area with no mobile signal!!

     

    So, I can't dedicate much time to Nomads any more :(

     

    Anyone wanting to take over the role, please PM me.
