Find it sad that Dunfermline a team short of cash should have collected so few cans as this might have helped in rebuilding a team.

You might try W.H. Smith or Miller's Art Shop or is it Hobby Craft at the Fort also?

Oh no.It's close season quiz time again. I refuse to look up my Official History book for this one though. Incidentally, isn't it time they updated that book and relaunched it?

Whoo hoo! Bought a 70's football card of Charlie Smith on eBay and raised 10p for the Jags. Win Win.

Next you'll be telling me Jackie Campbell scored a goal once or that we once scored 11 goals at Fir Park and still didn't beat Motherwell. Or that we signed Stevie Kirk and never played him before he went on to be a Motherwell legend or that we had goalkeepers called ARough followed shortly by BRough.
I assume Alf's appearance was against Berwick then?

I still think he was a mythical figure of legend and that you people who went to reserve games in the 70's just made him up!Back in the days where the crowd that frequented reserve games were housed in the old Main Stand, my favourite memory of Alf was him scoring a goal and running over to the shed to celebrate the goal as if it was full! Great character.

Looking at the photo of all the earth they must have dug up. Does it not make you wonder if they could have landscaped the Bing with it?Today's ET confirms we've offered Elliott a deal but that there is interest from England in Mcmillan.
Also features a bizarre photo of Archibald, Doolan, and Forbes posing on a John Deere at the side of the pitch.

Glad to see someone mention Alan Logan and Joe Carson the born again striker. Also at that time was Gordon Smith who if I remember was a bit of a nutter who played upfront with Logan methinks. John Craig in the 70's i also liked, no relation to John but Tommy Craig's brother. ( Could we make a full team of Craig's over the years) Jim Melrose, who if we forget his time with Celtic had a good career in England after he left the Thistle was favourite of mine too.

Two things: The TAG membership does that entitle you to a year's membership or just for the season i.e. ten months, if so how do make up the month or so between season tickets. Secondly, every time I have bought a season ticket the Jags have been relegated. Should I buy this year?

What is it with footballers and their obsession with shitting in places they shouldn't,. Didn't Ian McCall famously do this to Simon Stainrod's shoes and the recent Steven Lawless expose. Is this some sort of shite of passage?I read today that someone shat in the away dressing room at Brighton on Monday before Palace arrived in an attempt to unsettle them.

Jackie and Dundee United your time is coming! Karma will get you back just like this robbing *******!

The reasons for the near canonisation of John Lambie are simple : Benny Rooney , Derek Johnstone, Billy Lamentable, Sandy Clark, Murdo MacLeod, John McVeigh, Gerry Collins, the Gerry and Derek show, Tommy Bryce and Dick Dick Campbell i.e Partick Thistle the Wilderness Years! (Incidentally does anybody else find it strange that on a Thistle website the word Partick comes up a a mis-spelling?)I wish people would stop this canonisation of John Lambie.
He was a manager who used the Jags when it suited him (left us for Hamilton and Falkirk), and the facts prove that he was completely out of his depth in the top Scottish division.
To mention him in the same sentence as Jock Stein and Alex Ferguson does not stand up to scrutiny.

Never mind all this talk of relegation, points deductions, insolvency. The important thing is which players can we steal? After all with Dundee we ended up getting Scott Fox and with Dunfermline, McMillan and Dowie.
