  1. For me we're not direct enough. Seem scared to shoot from distance and won't cross a first time ball into the box for some reason. Dominated possession but st Mirren could have snatched a draw at the end when the game should have been out of sight

  2. Lo and behold, 2462 home fans today, less than what we attracted v wee diddy Kilmarnock, compared to today against one of the "big teams".

Let me be the first to say, the club are doing all they can and the supporters aren't pulling their own weight. 7,822 the first game back in this league attracted. A game I and my dad who both attended today missed due to holiday. So, we have lost over double our fanbase in that period!? Fairweather, gloryhunting ******s with delusions of grandeur, and that's just the ones that don't turn up. I have to say, some of the people there today should really reconsider what football team they support, and this is across both stands, based on conversation between me and my mates. Mumping, moaning, shouting abuse all game. What do these nuggets expect? If you want to watch a team that wins every week **** off to one of the two arsecheeks! I even had a mate of mine today who is never off Archie's back who decided he couldn't be arsed constantly harassing me for updates on the game.

Our fanbase is a disgrace. I can accept people not going during the Campbell era when the club was a joke top to bottom, the football was rotten and the results equally as bad, but at the moment, people really need to get a ******* grip. 2462 fans, today, less than the amount of away fans. That's why there won't be anymore new signings and we will be fighting relegation all season long. Not a pot to piss in.

maybe they aren't too keen on paying £22 to watch a team that rarely has a shot at the oppositions goal.

  3. Today's game like most premiership games is vital that we score first, go a goal down and in most cases it becomes difficult to get anything more than a draw, accepting that we came from behind against ICT earlier this season.

That being said I think Archie should play a very positive team, and include Taylor from the start at the expense of Doolan. ICT are very physical defensively therefore a more robust player such as Taylor would be beneficial staring up front.

We have a few good squad options today and it's a great opportunity to progress in this cup, it's just vital Archie gets it right!!

if he was going to play a very positive team he would have a front two of taylor and doolan. wont happen though

  4. No, I'm not a bean counter by nature, prefer watching the game. I have though, over time come to the conclusion, that Archie is not a very good manager, sorry that I have not got any statistics to back it up yet, will relegation do?

Wasn't aware that we had been relegated under Archie.

he didn't say that we have

  5. A few weeks back , this forum was all about how the club weren't being adventurous. That they were skimping on wages and infrastructure. Now this week, for some, it's about 22 quid being too expensive. I agree that 22 quid is expensive. However i also recognise that to have a proper go at making headway in the SPFL it costs money. Once sponsorship deals have been signed, it fall on the fans to fund the club. Given there are only 2500-3500 of us, we have to pay the price.

Or we can accept that we don't want to pay it and also accept the consequences.

Is suspect that a few years in the SPFL will lead to the inevitable apathy. In turn, i also suspect we'll find our way back into the first division, where football is cheaper but the fans can moan about lack of ambition and lower crowds.

I've said many times on this forum that if you stood in the middle of Glasgow and handed out free tickets every week, you still wouldn't fill the stadium. If you can't give it away for free, i think lower prices will only have a marginal effect on crowds and make no difference overall to income.

why do we have to pay so much for a game when in germany for example it's around half the price we pay, and the standard is far better?

  6. How about the most obvious reason?

£22 is far too expensive to watch top flight football in Scotland.

Even although we are up a division, a £5 increase (about 30%) in 18 months is not justified in these economic times.

The cost is unrealistic and turns off casual fans from dropping into see a game.

That more than anything else is what keeps fans away from football.

have to agree with this. i took up the offer of 2 games for £30, but £22 a game i cant afford.

  7. Can't understand the love-in for Piccolo!! He is a Bombscare and only improved by being dumped on the bench. Even when he came on to help the defense he was a liability. Dreadful in the air, constantly ball watching, man-marking non existent. Not good enough by a long way!!!!

got to agree with this. for me the guy is nowhere near good enough, even for a championship team. just a pity he was signed on a 2 year deal and could sit in the stands picking up a wage we cant afford to waste.

  8. I would hope that the club would be using sky sports on a pay as you go basis, rather than paying the full monthly rate, which is several thousand pounds.

To put it in context, it would cost the same or more than a players wages for the club to have sky sports in the Aitken Suite.

can they get a now tv box. you can pay for sky sports for 24 hours pay as you go. only costs a tenner. not sure if that's just for residential properties though
