  1. I've read some preposterous posts on Thistle forums over the years, but a comparison between the ex-chairman and Hitler pretty much tops the lot of them.

    Get a grip of yourself.

It wasn't a direct comparison, was it. So I think we can calm down a little

I was talking about Legacies and what people are remembered for. And how early achievements are always plastered over by future mistakes (in Hilter’s case more of an atrocity the world will never forgive or forget, than a mistake)

Cowan did great work in the STJ’s but has let himself down terribly since, and that will be his legacy, and he won’t be missed

  2. I remember getting supporters bus with him and his 2 boys about 96...before the save the jags started bfore he got involved.....He was just another dad who took his kids to the game...

Would someone else hav stepped up to the plate if he never did...

he was instrmental in STJ (amongst others)

Lts hope he is remembered for that also

Does Hitler get remembered for the reconstruction and remarkable economic recovery of Germany after the great depression, and First would war. And standing up to his opponents abroad......No, he will be remembered for the 6 years of war and genocide.

Will Cowan be remembered for playing a part in save the Jags, or will he be remembered for sitting on the board for 14 years, as chair for 4, and leaving when the club is on the brink of needing another save the jags, with half a stadium left.

  3. The full slogan on the first t-shirt is "Prentice Get To F**K" with the asterisks. That is very clear even to dim-witted cops. Wearers would risk arrest, being stopped from entering the ground and even having their season ticket confiscated.

The Police have the powers to issue spot fines for swearing. They use them readily, especially in parts of England. My late friend's son was lifted two years ago for drinking a can of lager half a mile away from Hampden on a match day. He was sober and just chatting to his mate. The Police threw him in the back of the van and held him for several hours in a cell before charging him.

How would Prentice Get to FCUK go down?

you see kids wearinf tshirts with that on it in all sorts of innuendo involved.

  4. A great idea.

Can I just clarify though who gets the profits from the t shirts etc being made up.

If its to a fighting fund to Save the Jags and to step in wish cash to either buy the club from the idiots who run it or step in and basically save the club then Im right in.

If the profits go to whoever is making the t shirts then I would like to think that the person creating them would put those profits into a fighting fund.

All the the profits made will be held in an account. Until such time that there is an actual save the jags 2, or a fans type buy out.

There will be no personal profit.

The Funds will not go to the Jags Trust

    And

They will not be given to the club aslong as Cowan, Hughes and Prentice are there, unless we have a doomsday type scenario.

  5. I think this is the time for people to rally behind the trust, and this is the time to finally get it Things have looked much more positive from them in the last couple of weeks, they have a meeting on Friday (IIRC),

Yeah things have looked allot more positive, like the position of Board rep being brought into question. And in essence bringing into doubt all of the trusts influence,( if they have any) in the club.

The purchase of shares has only one aim. To give money to the club. They will never mature in value, And will never, ever give any return other than some pride in owning a bit of PTFC.

In fact a price of 40p seems over inflated, as they were originally priced at 10p? And I don’t see how they can be worth any more than they were originally. As the club is making a loss, has reduced its assets, and there is zero confidence in the ability of the board.

  6. Added some more this morning,

If anyone has anything particular they think would work, let me know.

Would love to have 4 or 5 quotes from the financial supremo from the last 10 years from, "we will never be in this position again". To "any spare change??"

  7. RUBBISH, the return period for 'sustainable' energy is about 20 years, thats if the equipment does not need any maintainance and still works as efficiently as it does day one (solar panels will be lucky to last 20 years).

Also it can cost a six figure sum to get a licence to generate to the national grid.

Unless you are getting mega grants, wind and solar does not pay for the installation costs.

    Sorry I spoke.

Knew there was a reason I couldn't be arsed with this forum

  8. Just to shed some light on how it works

My uncle is looking to stick some up at his house in Skye,

He tells me, the cost to stick the smaller one up, is £30K, which covers the average leckie used by a house but also returns £7K a year from the national grid, which take the surplus.

The Larger Model is £70K, and returns £17K a year in the same way.

  9. There is pages and pages on thistle forums, facebook, twitter and any other form for online discussion, going on repeatedly about the need for change at Firhill, and how close we are the demise of our great club.

Well its time to start getting a bit more support from the real world. The rest of the fans who make it to Firhill, andeven the ones that don't.

Get yourself one of these snazzy new T-shirts, to let the suits, and the general number of fans that you want change, and your not afraid to show it. (other than hidden behind a username)

The prices have been tried to be kept to a minimum, with a small commission added, but all of which will be held, and made available to any group who wants to form, or/and take serious action to Save our club.

  10. Before I start this isn't about being “someone” in terms of the support of Partick thistle. This is about us as a group of supporters holding the club board to some degree of accountability, whether we get it remains to be seen, but we don't get there if we don't try.

So if you want your name/email address to be included in something that happens in the future fire an email to [email protected], let me know who you are and what you want from our current board of Directors.

I don't want to be the leader of anything, I don't have the time, or knowledge of the ins and outs of the Board.

All I know is that there have been huge mistakes made in the past, and No one has been held accountable, there were promises made post STJ's about never entering into the same situation, which we sadly now find ourselves in. And it’s the same people in charge that have made those promises, and mistakes, yet their still in charge.

So if anyone wants "in". Or just wants a nosey at what people are saying, I am more than willing pass on the password to the account, and if anyone sees themselves as a leader, or whatever, then send an email, or PM, or text, or facebook message, or twitter, or whatever.

Something has to change, and we need answers, because it’s our club too, I and allot of other people believe the trust is dead in the water, so we need to do something or before long we won’t have a club, or again we will be left with a shell of a club and need to rebuild from scratch.

And the more of us that sign up to this, and get together the further we can go.

    So [email protected]

    Anyway

    Off my Shower Gel box,

  11. weird thing but I've won loads on this scheme but I've never cashed anything, to me the whole plan was about funding the club and not buying some sort of raffle ticket.

That's because your a better person than the rest of us though.

Been a silver member since the start, won **** all.

Started doing a Similar thing towards the end of last year but got bored quickly. So thanks for putting it together. If I PM'd and asked nicely do you think I could have a copy of your masterpiece?

  12. So where did you see it? and more importantly where can we see it?!?

Considering he works for thistle, at Firhill, I can only imagine he saw it at JJB sports on aryle street while early christmas shopping, or some other high brow sports wear retailer, maybe even the nike shop in buchanan gallories while on his way to buy David rowson the new englad top as a early summer treat.
