We'll play 7 at the back at Tynecastle if today was the example.
3 central defenders
2 full backs
2 holding midfielders
First time we've played that system and it will probably be the last. We've played 2 up front before and it didn't work. It's easy to criticise, harder to find a solution

There'll be a few mattresses being hung out to dry in the morning.
-
Don't blame me, I voted for the cup run and last-day play-off decider.
-
5 at the back plus Welsh, Abdul and Bannigan seems excessively defensive. What do we have in attack? Not feeling good about this one at all.
-
Michael Higdon released from Sheffield United. According to the Record he could return to Scotland tonight.
Hadn't seen your post, sorry!
-
Michael Higdon has been freed. Doubt we could afford wages or that Archie is after him, but he would do a job.
-
Lawless can make his own mind up, but Paatelinen has behaved like an ********* by chatting about another team's player. Hope he gets relegated.

Dundee utd are somehow getting £300k for Ryan McGowan.

Bienvenido, el puente.

Sounds like we're getting somewhere with Banzo's corners... maybe been practicing them after the number of wasted set pieces at Celtic park

pogba is injured, he broke a nail
I heard he refused to play cos he's in a sulk after being overlooked for African Player of the Year (again!)

Young bench and only 6 subs named. Looks like we could do with some new players this month. Where's Pogba btw?
eta 7 on the bench. BBC Sport names 6 subs, although at least they spelled Lawleff and Doohlan correctly.

Mmmm....you had to edit that reply?
Yes.

I made it up. Just like someone made up the Mcgregor thing. Neither have a shred of truth.

Good stuff, but not sure he would be happy sitting on the bench behind Dools! It's a rumours page, so anything goes however I have to ask.....are you related to Juan Kerr, one of my favourite posters of old...lol
Excuse me?

We can only go by what the press says, unless someone knows Archie personally or he comes out and denies it. Celtic are going to strengthen in January, so they could ship him out. Personally I am against loan signings from teams in the same division.
A guy at my work told me we're getting Jordan Rhodes on a free. Until Archie comes out and denies it, it's definitely true.

'The Hoff explains Partick support'
Sorry, but 'Partick'? I'd hope the BBC would know better. Why can't they realise we're not called effing 'Partick'!? I don't remember seeing any reports on 'Aston' without Villa being attached. It's unacceptable. Infuriating! <rant over>

It was an excellent result
Cerny and Bannigan both mom for me that save from Cerny so important
Bannigan just excellent
Booth great
Welsh best game possibly never trying
These were nearly great Abdul, Dan and Liam but
For Abdul you are immense fitness second to none but please practice shooting at goal almost every time he could have a shot almost passes always but just have a shot
Dan and Liam so solid but please just be a bit less heart in mouth stuff with some slack passing
Realise that I am being overly picky there
Unfortunately I didn't think Muirhead or Amoocontributed that much Amoo has so much pace but he is poor with chances - jury is really out on me whether he should be getting a new contract I have to say at this stage no
Pogba to me was brought in to score the chance he had at the end but headed it over the bar, sorry but really think we can do better.
Now Lawless is a fantastic player and I hope signs a new contract but I thought by his standards that was one of his poor performances of the season
But despite my overly critical analysis well done to this group of players and Archie for incredible run of results.
Biggest disgrace today was Ryan Stevenson a Partick Thistle player but rather than go support his team mates and paid employees went along to support Killie - absolutely disgusted at that and should be fined
Pretty sure Stevo's not a Killie fan!
-
If it had been 1-4, Inverness would stay above us on alphabetical order.. Don't worry though, we'll have them next week :-)
Wouldn't Pepsi Thistle have stayed above us on goals scored?
-
I wouldn't want Archie to leave, even if we finish bottom. I have no idea why people expect Thistle to stay in the top flight comfortably. We have no budget. We just don't have the resources when you consider we can't come close to competing with the wages on offer at Killie, Ross County, Motherwell ie. clubs that struggled last season.
I'd also be happy enough supporting us in the Championship. The main thing is keeping the club's long-term future and to keep the youth system growing.
Archie has done an unbelievable job. He's not perfect but he's the manager of Partick Thistle, so of course he isn't.
I don't buy this stuff about 'taking the club to the next level' either. Be careful what you wish for - 'expectation is the root of all suffering'.

He might well have a point but he shouldn't be saying that stuff to the press.
Deeply unprofessional. Say it at the training ground, say it in the dressing room - don't say it to a journalist.
-
Not a bad result all things considered. Key players missing, 7 points from 9, Inverness lost.
-
Sounds like we're hanging on a bit. C'mon Dools!

It's our 3rd season back in the top division, and we're hardly world beaters. We've never been a club that can have any assumption of reaching finals and never will be. It would be a massive bonus if we do get 'our turn', and we might if we have a bit of form and a bit of luck with the draw. This borderline entitlement stuff is repellent. What team do you think you support?
