  1. 513 matches since 2012

    200+ matches this season.

    Good going by anyone's standards.

Wonder if it was an accy placed at Ladbrokes.

In all seriousness though, & I've no doubt he's one that was 'unlucky' to be caught, to place that amount of bets this season after the Ian Black carry on is just plain stupid imo.

Guess we've seen the last of him for this season at least!

  2.

More strange then that club don't put season tickets on sale earlier and get the new strips out earlier, like other clubs have. Really feel they're missing a trick here, especially now we're safe and with fans still in football mode before disappearing to go on their summer holidays.

Am I being cynical in suggesting that ST & prices won't be released until after we find out which teams playing in the league?

  3.

Peter and Roughie said that apparently Ratnamara mentioned his interest in SOD during the week.

Heard (as probably most of us did) that he'd been contacted by DU around same time as he knocked back Blackpool. However as time has gone on & given the amount if times it's been mentioned by the manager, it looks like he's off down South.

Scott Fox on the other hand....

I get what folk saying about him being replaceable but remember, this was the guy who was in a Scotland squad about 18 months ago.

I guess the flip side to that is someone like Nicky Walker who came to us for nothing with his career on a downward trend & within a couple of years he was called up for Scotland.

Story yesterday with the guys I sit with was that Higginbotham & Taylor both unlikely to be at Firhill next season. I don't know if anyone else can confirm or deny?

Balatoni by his own words likely to be off it seems.

Lawless possibly more likely to stay than not but would you bet on it?

  4. Silly boy!

That said, I'm sure he's not the only one doing it despite numerous warnings from SPFA & others.

    Difference being, he got caught.

Not good publicity for the club either as I'm sure that it's mentioned to the players reminding of their responsibilities.

Petulant tweets & now this. Talent is obvious but time to grow up Stevie.

  5. ^^^^

Linda at it again. Ignores me but wants to keep talking about me.

As for his friend above his post, that was almost in English. No fantasy being lived out on that post.

I'll say again, nice to see the forum busy again & a few folk back on here after making statements doubting the manager & running or not saying anything at all.

Life would be boring if we all had same opinion!

As for where Archibald comes. Some would argue to be classed alongside Bertie Auld nothing to write home about!!!

    Seriously though...

What now? What are people's aspirations for next season?

Survival obviously & hopefully pushing towards a top 6 place rather than being closer to the bottom come the time of the split.

A good cup run in either competition also.

Know this could be a separate thread but anyone heard about a possible increase in ST next season?

Any news on non old firm tickets? Assuming we have the 2 home games vs one arse cheek & if the other miraculously makes it.

Was it not mooted last year as a possible by the Maxwell?

  6. I still think bleeding gums wrote it, no one else would fixate on someone's body language in that detailed a fashion. That BG then weighs in with a strident defence of the author's right to hold patently ludicrous opinions, very close to his own coincidentally, just confirms my thoughts.

As for sniping at Adelaide, grow up.

Yep I wrote it Mad Aussie. All my own work.

Same way as I'm Trotsky & Spartacus, I'm also Scott.

Sniping at Adelaide? I'm bigging it up. Lovely city to retire to.

  7. If you're going to write an article and in the first paragraph state that you believe you're speaking for most jags fans then I reckon you take all the 'slating' that's going. It's a sh*t article. In my opinion although I don't claim to speak for most jags fans

Agree with you. However, how do you & I know what he's basing that on?

The 10 guys he goes to the game with & drinks with?

    Or maybe his family?

Going back to the first few months of this year (2015) it could be argued that the majority of Jags fans had lost faith in Archibald (or Alan if you're Mad Aussie).

    'Argued' being the debatable word.

  8. Knew one of those phrases in the article sounded familiar.

Mad Aussie back!! They cranked up the generator for the internet yet?

Have to confess, visited Adelaide when I stayed in Oz. Jeez, I thought WA was bad...

Nice trolling though! No!! Nice stalking I meant.

For the record it's definitely not me that wrote the article. No even I'm delusional enough to think we should've been pushing for a Euro spot - this season!!

  9.

    *cringe*

not your finest thread topic post lindau to be fair,

i think it is unfair to single out our saxophone playing simpson nut (or is a spangle also a term for fan?), and not give a mention to others of his ilk, who also thought aa was a dud, should be sacked, who never learns from mistakes bla bla bla .....

and which one was bgm before they stopped posting and created the saxaphone simpson monkier?

    my guess is trotter.

shall we do a sweepstake, and bgm can fess up once all suspects have been taken in the sweep?

    Got me you have

  10. Sticking it up the naysayers is all part of the fun.

BGM deserves all the pelters he's getting. A pish poster with an agenda who hasn't got what he wanted and is now painting a patina of respect in his posts towards Alan during a season of unrelenting negativity towards the manager.

    GIRUY.

    Aw diddums.

Did someone on a fans forum with an opinion upset you?

I'm sure your friend 'Alan' would accept that after home defeats to St Mirren & Ross Co that folk like myself were not the minority on here.

However, I did state I was happy to be proved wrong.

I also stated that, unlike Linda who doesn't attend & others who get comps to attend games, I pay my own way home & away & as such agree or disagree with my opinion but respect it in the sense that unlike some, I've seen the games live.

I also said that the rebuilding this Summer will be more crucial than last.

As such 'Alan' proved me (& many others on here who won't admit that they doubted him) wrong as he's turned the season around in the last half dozen games.

I'm not going over all the arguements again but suffice to say I don't let the 'abuse' worry me diddums.

Finally, think what you want of me & my opinions but even you can see that Linda's a bit obsessional.

Blocks me but logs on just to see what time I was last on!!

Anyone else wonder why if he can't see me then how did he know that I didn't post?!

  11.

A result of having a proper left back. I'll concede (finally) that the failure to have one in place at the beginning of the season cost us in places, but I'm unsure whether the criticism of that should be levelled at the manager or the GM.

    Scouting system?

Carroll on paper looked a good signing but not sure how often he'd actually played LB.

McMillan a very good defender but then I'd argue we looked unbalanced with him at LB. Didn't give as much of an out as ATS did (or Booth has for that matter).

Just hope the mistakes from last Summer have been taken on board & learned from.

I guess whether Booth stays may depend on what league Hibs are in.

Keenan not the answer & Bannigan should NEVER be taken from MF to be deployed at LB again unless we're scraping the barrel.

Bit like Linda starting this thread.

Can I just apologise to him also? I didn't realise it was compulsory to post when I came on last night coming in from Dingwall.

That's the forum rules is it? Or forum rules according to Linda?

  12. Mate, this is poor.

    Leave him be.

He's trying to pretend that he can't see all the replies on the thread.

We've had our disagreements but even you at times (as many others have) this season have thought that we were sinking fast.

We're on the very verge of staying up (personally can't see Motherwell winning 4 in a row against teams around us) so the manager & players deserve all the credit in the world for getting us in this position with the run of games we had.

I agree with your sentiments on the other thread about Osman.

I'd also argue that when he did tweak the system , it's let Banzo come to the fore. He's dictated the last last few games & been the heartbeat to the midfield.

  13. Find it hard to understand why you'd write a message to someone you choose to ignore. Each to their own.

Don't kid yourself, he logs in as a guest to see!

It does seem that Linda doesn't like to miss anything that's said on the message board though

the funny thing is, the M.I.A. best applies to himself.

Doesn't seem to make it to many games but has the cheek to call me a troll!

  14. I see my pal Linda been on this morning making his usual observations from his armchair! Quite good eyesight to see from his front room to Dingwall.

As one of the 350 odd (really that few?) that was there (again Linda) I have to say that I thought that was probably our best performance of the season.

Other than their goal, I can't really recall our defence being anything other than comfortable. Was somewhat surprised that they didn't come at us more especially going 2-1 down but that's where you have to credit the players & coaches for preventing them doing that.

I've been critical of the manager (as have others who have either wound their neck in, disappeared from view or are on denial that they ever were) & if being honest, didn't think the team had this performance or fight in then after the the home defeats to County & St Mirren. I was wrong.

I genuinely thought we were on our way to the play offs at that point. Again I was wrong.

My main gripe has been that we have under performed with the players we've had this season. I think the current run of form has to an extent proved that.

The non concession of late goals (imagine where we could've been with even half the points we'd lost late on added to our total).

That said, I'm delighted we've stayed up with games to spare.

The manager... Like I said, credit where it's due. I hope that he's also learned from last Summer's transfer dealings & has full back replacements lined up.

I'm guessing Higgy also away & hopefully we'll get a striker in before last minute also -hopefully Taylor as we have that transfer fee agreed.

In meantime maybe Linda will make it to at least the last 4 games & support his team.

Oops, sorry, forgot he's blocked me.

I know you log in as a guest just to see me Linda

  15. Partly my fault DJ as was trying to figure out what a spangle was.

•waves at Linda as he loves to pretend he's not looking & has blocked certain posters*

He'll be back on in a minute to call me GUMS despite not being able to see this.
