  1. Stick to the classics these new songs about players etc make my toes curl in cringing embarrassment.

Also its aggro not shed boys, worst of all though is hearing people singing the tartan tranny version of 'comin down the road'

  2. Before jumping on your high horse...

This isn't something that I would personally do, but I understand that a group of young thistle fans were attacked before/after the challenge cup game at the start of the season, this might have something to do with it.

Spot on. The incident (or non-incident as the case may be) was in response to some kids being attacked at the challenge cup game. This was not the first instance of hamiltons so-called casuals attacking normal supporters either. Unsurprisingly these little hard men were nowhere to be found on friday night.

Before anyone jumps down my throat this is a reason I am offering, not an excuse.

    Yours Truly

The Scum Of the Earth, Not a Real Supporter, Drag Our Clubs Good Name Through the Dirt yada yada yada

  3. I'm really surprised there's not a separate thread for the behavior of the NGE contingent today.

I'm not aware whether they go regularly or not but they were truly vile to be around today. Clearly up on drugs, wasted on alcohol and devoid of respect towards the rest of society.

Make no mistake, I've delivered my fair share of touchline abuse and know to expect 'colourful' characters when I go to watch the Jags, but these guys take the biscuit.

Had there been proper police there today, at least 4 or 5 would have been lifted. Those stewards did incredibly well not to hand back their doubtless minimum wage and head home for the day.

Yes, they sing all the songs and add to the atmosphere but the majority of it all went too far today. Yer grown men FFS!

    sounds ******* great to me!

  4. Just on Telly, a team in Turkey due to trouble were given the penalty that, rather than play the game behind closed doors, it would be open to women and children only and over 41,000 turned up.Women going to football is a market that I think the "Jags" could tap into.

Maybe we could get sponsors for free entry for a couple of games for the girls, although this may mean a few drag artists making their way up Firhill road!

Aye just what we need, more daft wummin at the fitba. sake...

  5. Not the greatest player, squandered what talent he had by being wee ned with a bad attitude who wouldnt/couldnt screw the nut. Only has himself to blame for the position he is in just now.

  6. Could the incredibly passive aggressive adam spark wash the sand out of your vagina please? You're puttin me on a bit of a downer about my fellow jags here.

Have a word with the people you have a problem with at the time rather than clogging up post match threads with your whinging.

  7. I hate those Tayside ********.

Feel pity, not hate my friend. Chucking a couple of fans out would have been the highlight of his week, if not his life.

Now, shift over, uniform off, he dejectedly looks at the beans-on-toast for one in his unremarkable perthshire flat, a nobody.

Silent tears fall as he watches the episode of coronation street he sky-plussed earlier.........

  8. Out of order Clarence.

No need for any personal abuse.

In fairness he's not far wrong, that was an extemely wanky post.

Firstly hats off to the support tonight, arrived just in time for kick off and could hear the jags support in full flow as soon as I got out the car, was pleasantly surprised at the support we brought considering the circumstances.

As far as the game went, nothing much to add as posters before me have put it more eloquently than I could, we simply didnt turn up tonight and were made to look like wee boys by an average saints side.

The team may have let us down, but the police and stewards at Mcdermid certainly didnt, they have their reputation as the scummiest in the land to upkeep and they retained their position with aplomb. Pathetic bullies. Was good to see the whole stand supporting the ones being picked on rather than just those directly around them.

  9. I noticed a palestinian flag as well, found out who it belonged to and had a quiet word. They took it down without any fuss so fair play as long as its understood that political statements are not welcome at firhill.

Never seen the basque flag, it must have been away by the time I got to my seat?

  10. the digger's a joke. u've got to laugh at the idiots in it. if ur a real gangster no one knows your name. i honestly thing some of these so called gangsters write to the daily record and the digger n tell them stories about themselves. :)) they're wannabe celebrities. they'll be on dancin on ice next

Im sorry mate but you are talking absolute rubbish, the Thistle Bar was probably the dodgiest boozer in the immediate area whilst it was open, also there may be a couple of well-to-do folk in some of the flats near the bike shop but Id hardly call georges cross a luvvie hotbed!

  11. These murdering, torturing b@astards are not 'my' troops, in any way, and are certainly no morally better than the people they're up against. And we' are in Iraq alright, make no mistake about that whatever lies the tory press tell you. Just remind me again HOW MANY weapons of mass destruction did they find?

The only two sets of fans in Scottish football who have ever adopted the moral high ground are, for their different reasons, Celtic and Thistle: Celtic lost any right they might ever have had to it when they appointed the political necrophiliac and mass-murderer Reid to the board. When I read some of the reactionary sh1te on here, I realised finally so have we lost any right to it - we are no better than Old Firm fans.

    Jesus christ.

  12. i made the case for starting ultras group within the thistle fan base. I never once said we should invite celtic supporters to support us. that would be a bizzare thing to ask indeed.

i suspect that because i tend to take a more nuanced look at all things old firm that such distortions of what i have said can arise.

    Liar liar pants on fire.

you said you had mates in the green brigade and you wanted to bring them to firhill with the intent of starting not just an ultras group, but one with the same political 'views' as them.

I think you'd probably be better off at parkhead my friend.
