It would get reported if I did Richard.

Verbally abused on way in by some charming inbred Lanarkshire Accies fans.

Made to wait forever on way in, missing start of match as they're too cheapskate to open more than one gate.

On way home we were crossing road; a car beeped at us and a "fan" gave us a delightful hand gesture.

Oh and did I mention how bad their pitch is?

No more £ from me Hamilton Academical.

On the plus side, I thought Higgy was great today, Lawless played well and Fraser oozed skill with some sublime passing :)

I too made my way to my hamilton local I was also beeped by a f*nny in a red audi a3 who suggested that I like to pleasure myself. What is funnier is that I took his reggy number and shall be looking for this cretinous c*nt in all future tanning lounge car parks in the town so that I can key a huge knob sign on his driver door.

It's a shame a family oriented club has a large element of fan dan supporters who don't really care about football and are more interested in shouting abuse or as hard as nails driving past you at 40mph. Hence why if thistle ever went to the wall, accies would be one of the last clubs I could go watch despite being 5 mins drive away.

Anyway to the game, end of season stuff. Very boring. Nowt to tell.

  2. Stonewaller from my view in the middle of the JHS however I'm so blind I thought it was Conrad that bundled him over!! Possible red card and a penalty? Higgy should have had the same first half though and stayed on his feet probably due to his numerous bookings for diving.

  3. Everything that was said above and I thought Stevo had a great game

...and a mini sing song in the S&G too afters

Good result and one that probably was deserved but are u joking about Ryan? First half his effort was at the most minimal, look at the chance before half time with Taylor, he's moaning at Taylor because what? He couldn't be bothered running into the massive thirty yards of space?

He improved slightly second half but compare his work rate to Stevie lawless. Nowhere near the effort required. He has been one of our best players recently but today his effort level was quite poor.

Anyway, just an opinion. When it was nil nil I was always scared of a sneaky goal as we had so many chances but the sitter at 2 nil defined st mirren. No fight, no confidence and no talent.

Also not sure I get Teales subs of Thomson for arquin. It's like the Taylor for dools sub, no great affect and like for like even though ur two nil down.

Edited to add. Well done jags on another three points , don't mean to be so negative about the above. Force of habit.

  4. As much as I spend most of the game shouting abuse at him I do like gardyne from county. Seems he's not wanted at d united and seems a decent enough player.

I think if it's spl players we are looking at then with our finances it needs to be fringe players and I can't think of too many that I'd prefer to what we currently have.

    ^^^^^^ (Post 6)

Taylor has an X Factor that goes beyond a clinical evaluation of his performances. He is a fans' player who delights in the acclaim of the supporters and pays it back in effort, determination and character. He challenges and winds up the opposition and their fans and he gets people interested in Partick Thistle and bestows on us a certain street cred. Those who were in Dingwall yesterday will be aware of how much of the singing, especially from our younger supporters, centred on him. Paradoxically this seems to enable our "quieter" players to shine all the more.

If his conversion rate was better, he would be away out of our league. But like McQuade, Charnley, Erskine, Higginbotham and many others all in their own slightly different ways, he is the sort of player who is quintessentially Partick Thistle and our great club thrives when we have great characters like him. After a period of wandering and trying various challenges he seems to be comfortable at Firhill and ready to settle down and give us his best. So if we can sign him without unduly straining the budget, I think that we should do so.

I think that is the first time I've ever seen the word 'paradoxically' used on this forum. Thank god for Wikipedia so I could check what it means. Agreed with all the above though, Taylor is the first to come to applaud the fans, even when he's been subbed he makes the effort to come over to clap us. Fans appreciate that. Despite his scoring rate not being great, he holds the ball up better than any centre forward I've seen at firhill.

  6. That's a joke yes? Christie came in and played an unaccustomed role in defence and was a more than capable right back. When SOD leaves he can fill in unless we can afford someone on better wages which is unlikely. He's strong, fast and does the simple things when playing there.

If higgy has signed a preseason for the jam tarts good luck to him, done little this season to deserve a new contract. Shame as brilliant when he can be ersed, pity he can't be ersed most of the time.

My priorities would be tying up Conrad and booth ASAP. We are nearly safe thanks to our defence since January, those two have been crucial in that I think. Hopefully hibs won't want a fee.

Unfortunately there is no way we can afford taylor if scunny want to keep him or want some dosh.

  7. Looking at the final table from last year and the current table this year we have conceded 26 goals less with 4 games left. Surely the key to our nearly assured spl status. Got to credit our defensive management team for sorting out the main issue from last year.

  8. I'm glad someone else commented on that after I had a mad rant in my living room about it! 5 mins later he's saying it's a stonewall penalty, so how is there any injustice andy? Oh that's right it's because it happened to celtic. Anything to fuel the paranoia for sellick fans.

If it was a defender I doubt he would have said that. Last man equals red card, read the rules mr walker. Total clown.

They will still win it anyway.

  9. Both goals offside according to barraclough whilst sucking his dummy tit, awwwww. Bbc also credits well to two shots on target, anyone remember those???

Obviously his comments are to keep motivation up and not a true reflection of the game, or are they? Three wins in a row at firhill and the only manager to give us any credit is big yogi Hughes.

  10. As much as dan the man hasn't played much this end of the season it's obvious his influence on balatoni has been truly impressive, from a player you were were nervous to include in your starting 11 to the most rock solid defender we have in 6 months is an unbelievable turnaround.

Superb today and over the last 5 games has been my motm. Ignoring the celtic game this has to be the least shots on goal over the last 4 games ever surely and he has to take massive kudos for that. Plus his goal scoring threat is added to his armour.

Ps Archie get booth signed up. Solid as f*ck, no daft ideas of grandeur and up for the physical fight. Cracking left back.

Taylor was booked for kicking the ball away, which was stupidity of the highest order. He'd already held on to it to waste time and there was no need to boot it further away. Ref was spot on there.

Ah didn't notice that as had looked away. Drapers not a haddy either I guess, just a player I love to hate after all his whinging for the phantom corner goal up north. Darrien McKinnon is just a ned, the st mirren games recently summed his style of play up.

One player who does impress me is Marley Watkins, big powerful and direct.

  12. Agree with all of the comments above re big Conrad, I thought that was the best game I've seen him and every centre half will make a couple of minor mistakes. I thought if ICT had of started dorran they could have scored a couple, similar to last week when lee croft was a sub and they made some decent opportunities when he came on however fox didn't really have a save to make so maybe the stats don't back up my point.

One thing again I noticed regarding the ref this is the second week in a row when we broke through bannigan and he was clearly and blatantly pulled back maybe 40 yards out by that big haddy draper and yet no booking, yet mclean decided it was fine to book Taylor for what exactly? Using his body which may have been a minor foul. The reffing in the last two games, albeit not affecting the result, has been very poor. Mclean yesterday was overly officious and pulled things back for things that involved very little contact but when there was a blatant booking he ignored it.

  13. Whilst it might be legal it's strange a 'club policy' is only applied to a specific stand. Being a JH regular I've never been searched going into a game.

Maybe worth contacting the club and obtaining a reason as to why this the policy/ law is applied only for certain supporters.

I didn't actually think Collum had a bad game yesterday. There weren't any major decisions to make so that probably helped. He should have given Davidson a 2nd yellow for the blatant handball, but given we were 3 up in stoppage time when it happened it didn't affect the game. Having seen him ref us 3 times over the last few weeks it's obvious he's become card shy since the SFA sat him down, and that's probably a good thing. Before that he was far too quick to get the cards out.

Whilst I agree it didn't affect the game much, yellow and red cards lead to suspensions so if he continues his card shy attitude in other games with teams around us it indirectly does affect us. To go from being card happy to completely card-less ( is that a word?) is just as bad in my opinion. However just a minor point in an otherwise great day yesterday.

    Well done jags.

  15. Due to intoxication I decided to wait until today for my comments, but tommy wrights comments are laughable as we could easily been 5 up at half time. Doolans one on one stevesons shot off the post and another chance he missed all in the first 45 mins. Was tommy shutting his eyes between goals?

Anyway Great unexpected performance and I think Archie got his tactics spot on this week so credit to him.

However without repeating the comments above I'm surprised at the lack of mentioning of willie collum, from my viewpoint I counted 7 bookable fouls from st Johnstone including the sending off of Davidson for a ridiculous basketball-esque handball, and despite Brian Eastons handball coming just BEFORE the final whistle, the ball was still in play. Sorry willie I assume the sfa have told u to reduce ur card count but if ur doing that by ignoring these things then maybe he should just be dropped from reffing for a few games as today's performance was ridiculous. The card counts of one booking each is a disgrace and compare that to last weeks card count from us shows the level of inconsistency from refs that drives fans radio rental.

  16. Not sure I've ever been to a game when higgy hasn't got booked for a needless tackle that he can never win. Studs up from behind or sliding on a wet pitch. He is our Ian black, albeit a better player.

Brainless and certainly not thinking of the team.

Undoubtedly talented, obviously selfish. And on poor form at the moment.

  17. Thought this game was about starting our best 11? No Higgy, no Stevenson, no lawless, no Gallagher, all benched.

Galls....should not have been dropped last game never mind today.

Stevo....?????????puzzling to say the least. If not due to injury then mental to drop. Has been most consistent player last month.

    Lawless....exact same as Galls.

Higgy....not had his best season, but more dangerous than Elliott and McDaid.

Also what the feck does Dools need to do to be regarded as our main striker. Every time we bring another striker into the squad, Dools gets dropped automatically. Give 2 strikers ago for at least 1 game and see how we do, cannot be any worse than it is at the moment!

Ps. I agree that the players have to take some of the blame, but must be a kick in the balls to players to keep getting dropped for feck all.

Agree with all but higgy, mcdaid shows double the effort, pace and interest than higgy has this season. Higgy is like a lassie at the dancing out her box on eccy, no idea what's going on and occasionally is involved but not in a good way. Put in a black cab and early bed thanks.

  18. The main question is, why was Fraser brought in to replace Stevo when he plays the same position as bannigan who is playing like a f*d. Fraser for bannigan, not Fraser for Stevo Archie. Are u blind???? Sorry who's scored our goals recently apart from the accies game? Oh aye that Stevo bloke, however we might get a point so let's play two neil Lennon types in front of a dodgy defence in the hope we get a point fae a championship team promoted last year.

Amateur stuff again, either 38 seconds fae the start or 38 seconds from the end. Do you know one team less professional than us?
