Nae points each for a no-score draw; a point each for a score draw; three points for a home win; four points for an away win.

yeah a dalek opening up and crying like its on a ******* montel show is beyond inconsistent with what a dalek is about. Im glad i took the judgement to not watch a single doctor who when i gave the very first eccleston episode a chance.
That idea went back to 1967. The theme showed up again in Daleks In Manhattan. The two stories have lines of dialogue in common.

I guess someone's seriously underestimating our players' desire to win the league.

Umm ... history and genealogy sites, mostly. I've been talking to a couple of friends about a genealogy project that would put football clubs at the centre of their research.
My great-grandfather grew up in the Calton. He was around St Mary's in the late 1880s and I'm trying to establish if family legend about a connection to the early years of Celtic is true. The Irish 'thing' with Celts fans makes organising such groups relatively easy.
Might as well slip in a blatant plug for this website while I'm at it.

I remembered that being Craig's site? I can't recall the .net site getting hacked by him. If it was, it was the same guy. Lianne got some VERY strange emails from him.
No Will, it was .net. I got home from work about 12:30 and found the landing page was not what should have been there. Ptfc.net was the only Jags site I moderated.
-
Nope, though on his visit a few years ago his companion was rather charming.
-
He didn't manage the ptfc.net site but he did post some gay porn images on the THW site one night. He was just a young lad at the time, so I'm sure he's grown out of it now. Could never figure out why a Jags fan would try to wind up a fellow Jags fan like one or two did.
Will, did we ever find out who hacked .net with some of those 'lovely' images? I remember getting in from work for the 'nightshift', as you once put it, and finding something that would have made Roy Stuart blush.
Someone mentioned Bacon earlier in the thread - I have an email addy for Emil somewhere. I'll dig it out and send him a message.
Can you remember when .net launched? I started using the web about 1998 - Prestel dial-up - and I'm sure it was one of the first football sites I found.

Well done to that guy. That banner was really getting on my wick. nothing to do with Thistle and put up by a couple of casuals, although helped to do so by genuine Jags fans. What was that all about?
Pleased for you. There were other matters to be concerned with today.
-
not read the full thread so apologies if I'm repeating others
Couldn't believe we continually humped high balls into the box when we were 2nd best to every one. It was obvious from early in the 1st half that Sinclair and O'donnell couldn't get the crosses in yet we never changed our tactics. Not wanting to criticise Archie but how many times did you see the queens bench cal the players over and give them instruction?
It appears to be the Archibald/Paterson way. I am still confident they'll win the league and smash Morton one on Wednesday. Try reconciling that with an unbeaten run of six games and winning the league.
-
Showed up the best and the worst of Archie's Thistle. I suspect McNamamara's Jags would not have been such a trainwreck.
-
Where's this? I'm assuming it refers to the evening of the Morton game at Firhill. Another kit launch, perhaps? I hope not - we can't say the last kit launch day against Morton was what we wanted.
-
Edinburgh Evening News this week. A wee departure from Chris's mind crank.
-
I'll second that. Get them photographed and online. Maybe do a clothesline shot like CD did a few years ago.
-
Property development team from Dundee looking at Firhill. Happy times ahead.

From October 23rd 1971. A long way ...

Golden generation? Does Thistle get to hold on to its better players to have a 'golden generation'?
-
For 90 minutes it's the most important game you'll ever watch.
-
Yes, as recently as yesterday. Will not name the individual as I don't believe for one minute that they deserve to lose their job over it. Only mentioning it because quite clearly your understanding is incorrect.
It would appear my understanding is clearly incorrect. Thank you for that, Ian. Are these stewards you follow on Facebook friends of yours, or do you just log on and have a look at what they're saying from time-to-time?
Does the club have a social media policy for its staff and volunteers? This is all getting complicated and confusing.
-
You might want to tell them to get off Facebook then
They talk about their work on Facebook?
-
How did you come to understand that?
Osmosis.
-
Very nice indeed. Three points for an away win would be nice, too.
-
If this is true then surely Thistle need to get the stewards reigned in a bit.
'Reined in'. As always, there are two sides to a story, G. It's my understanding that Firhill stewards are forbidden from posting about their duties.
-
Think not, which makes it all the more appaulling that the police threatenned to throw a few 12 and 13 year olds out into the street without an adult available. Especially as we advertise Firhill to parents (through Kids Go Free) as a safe place for their kids to be for a few hours on a saturday.
easiest solution, if there is still deemed to be an issue from the match commander's report... move the divider cover from the seats covering the first 5 rows of the away end over the stairs, to the last 5 rows of the home end, thus preventing Thistle fans access to the staircase beside the away fans.
That's a bit of a rub, isn't it? Football club or childminder service?
-
None of these young lads are older than 13 years old. Had Jim and Lance not been there the boys would almost certainly have been ejected. Several young lads possibly lost as fans for life.
Was there any sign of adults accompanying these minors to your knowledge, Ian?

So, there are three fitba grounds in EK that Clyde could move to?
