  1. This is a cracking idea. A 'brave' time to be launching it given the mess we're in on the park.  Its success will depend though on how honest the answers are to those difficult questions. It'll fall on its @rse  if we get  palmed off in reply to those.  She comes across as very genuine so here's hoping this works well.

I'm not saying Caldwell will go on to become a legendary manager but remember Fergie at Man U? The club has been in freefall for a season and a half and some people expect that to be sorted in the space of four games?!!! Caldwell out, David Blaine in!!!

For a man who is quoted as saying he's done his homework on the players and how he was going to play to their strengths  and sort their fitness, its a very very unimpressive start. Playing Christie at CH and McCarthy at RB makes him look clueless. He's already talking about the  January window.  Its starting to sound a  lot like Chesterfield.

You'd sack a manager after four games in charge? Have you any idea what's involved in managing a football club? Absolutely baffling!!

Motivating the players. Getting the tactics right. Making the right substitutions. So far so good.

The recruitment policy has been shocking for the last  5 years, basically getting what’s left after the season has started Martin Woods being a perfect example , I’m not sure if that’s a financial decision by the Club or mismanagement

It is beyond belief that we haven’t got a team that is competitive in this division, the Board might well be culpable with the parachute payments we’ve received, the prize money from the SPFL , the 400k we got through Celtic’s European campaign, that money hasn’t been invested in the playing side of the Club , it hasn’t been invested in the Reserve Team , the under 18s don’t even get expenses contracts , so it would be a pertinent question to ask is the money being ringfenced for something else  ( new training ground ) or is something else going on behind the scenes Propco ? that we don’t know about but after what I’ve watched today they’ve totally got their priorities totally wrong because that was a disgrace .

Spot on I reckon . Also we've no chance of getting anyone decent in January. What player will want to join a club staring at relegation to League 1? A total omnishambles.

Hing on a minute. Storer came on with not that much more than 10-12 minutes to play. How many times did he even touch the ball never mind play defence splitting balls?

For what it's worth I thought Storer replacing Bannigan was a positive substitution but extremely marginal in effect.

I said during the game he'd put 3 cracking balls behind their defence. I think he was the only one to find Couilbaly with a pass.  Pity he didn't get longer on in my view.

Really disappointed in Gary Caldwell ‘s first two games , we’ve went from being toothless and ineffective with Archie’s tactics and team lineups to being absolutely the same with Gary Caldwell.

As far as I can recall we’ve had 2 or 3 shots on goal in the last 2 games against the mighty Alloa and Ayr United.

We’ve got a midfield who are all far too similar with no one bursting a gut to join in with the strikers or even getting beyond them , think we found out today Jai Quitongo is never a centre forward and how Aiden Fitzpatrick can’t even get a place on the bench is beyond me , the game needed someone with a bit of invention to try and create something to get us back into the game .

At least we’ve changed the dugouts around !!!

I thought Jack Storer offered something a bit different when he came on. Hit a number of decent defence splitting balls.

  7. We were lucky not to be 4 down at half time. Fair play to Britton and Allison for trying to change things around with formation changes and early sub's.  Better effort in 2nd half with Quitongo and McCarthy doing well. Spittal and Storey no where near good enough. Not a chance we'll be anywhere close to playoffs without some new faces.

Thats the problem though, we waited far too long to get rid  of Archie, we're now a lower half championship team and  thats the calibre of replacements we're now looking at as a result.

Don't agree .  We will be an attractive proposition for many decent candidates .  Also with Gerry Brittons` football experience we will select the best man from all the applicants.

  9. Jack rapidly making himself a target for the refs up here. A crazy tackle on Brown in the Celtic game which could have resulted in red which was shown over and over on TV, and now this. Can't see him lasting with us if he doesn't get a grip!

    This is bollocks.

If that's true it should have been in place six weeks ago, not next Monday morning.

This kind of nonsense is no longer acceptable.

Are we really a serious football club?

Absolutely right.  Every Thistle fan has been conned. A total disgrace. From my point of view, I renewed 2_ season tickets on day 1 thinking I was contributing to a budget and a plan to challenge for promotion. Taken for a mug. I seriously want to know where the budget has gone including the £600k parachute payment.

  11. Afraid to say that was a replay of every game last season and simply not good enough.  Absolutely no chance we will be pushing for promotion based on what I've seen vs Morton or Ayr.  We are supposed to have a budget to challenge . Where are the signings to back that up. What has the £600k parachute payment been spent on??
