  1. Yeah I knew, we signed him from Airdrieonians in 1972 but in 2 seasons at Firhill he failed to make the 1st team and moved to East Stirling, before moving to Petershill where in season 1976-77 he set a Peasy club record number of shut outs (22) and even managed to score a penalty vs. Coltness. He was a copper too.

  2. Pretty sure I heard the bonus money would rise immediately on Radio Scotland benefiting this years 1st Division champions by £500,000. The arguments by Ross County and St Mirren seem to boil down to their fans not wanting to buy seasons tickets and not knowing who they will be playing etc, but this is what happens in the SPL just now !!

  3. Think everybody on here is missing the point Ross County & St Mirren haven't voted for the good of the game it's self interest. This vote if it had been successful would have benefited OUR CLUB by £500,000 this summer !!!! Hope everybody is happy

  4. Odd that Dundee are spending big when they'll be in the first division next season. If that is true, I guess they'll be doing what they are accused of every season they're in the first division and 'going all out for promotion' by spending their SPL earnings not on staying in the SPL, but saving it for the promotion campaign the following year. Makes sense when you consider that they had no chance with being admitted to the SPL so late on.

I regular hear the Dundee chief executive (& his bbc ginger lapdog) going on about the need for league reconstruction ASAP. I bet any deal Dundee back would see them play the top flight next season.

  5. I take it you've never been to Swansea? Makes the backwards Fife towns we visit with Thistle look like Tokyo, Sydney and New York.

There are gong to be a fair number of Bluebirds at the Livingston home game the day after Scotland play Wales at Hampden. Could be interesting if the group of Jacks are up at the same time, unlikely as the peg sellers out west tend to have an OF-esque view towards their national team.

The Swansea boys who come up every year themselves are sound but on the whole no to 'Jags/Jacks'.

Having had weekends in Cdiff and Swansea, Swansea is far better, far better & there will be a group of Jacks up for the Livingston game.

It must be hard for Redbirds fans to acknowledge the biggest team in Wales doing so well.
