William Hamilton.
Signed in 1911 making nearly 300 appearances for Thistle, Played in every round of the 1921 Scottish Cup Run, missed the final due to illness and died(aged 31) a few months later.

Jukka was a great signing (and still would be), but for ever Jukka there is a Steven Campbell or Steven Lennon. As for Andy Murdoch he was great in 2 loan spells (now over 20 years ago) but he turned out to be a horrific waste of a club record transfer fee. Interesting to note the guy who replaced him as first choice went to make us a good transfer fee and was still playing first team football last season.

I would rather take a chance on a unknown english non league player than take sum old firm diddy on loan

Does the club not need to do a disclosure scotland check first?

A guy in front of me in the pie stall q asked for bottled water and was told we don't do water....?
Seems strange with our main sponsor being a bottled water company? Even if it has to be poured into a plastic cup.

Thomson - Yeah good player wouldn't mind him at all.

Ian Cameron Jnr was with us before a spell at Aird*ie and moving to the USA on a sports scholarship.

Thistle inside-left Willie McCrindle died in the Clydebank blitz when his home in Livingstone Street was hit, He was injured and moved to Blarthill Hopsital in Knightwood where he died. He was 26 and the sporting press at the time considered him to be one the of the finest Inside-Left's in the country.

Thistle played a pre-season game at Firhill back in 2007, with 6 trialist's playing. Nobody at the club (at the time) would divulge names it was all top-secret.
Can anybody name they now?

Here's a few Fanzine covers from the 9 fanzines that came out.

Johnny Flanigan as I remember played on the right wing. When we were relegated he went to Clyde. They were relegated the following season.
There is a couple of articles on John Flanagan here.
-
Get him playing straight away and tell him he is Colin McGlashan....
-
I don't see us going anywhere, trips cost money the club dosen't have.
I would rather the cost of a pre-season trip was put towards the cost of a good player.
Invite clubs to Firhill for a weekend tournment, say
Friday night, PT v Championship Side
Saturday noon, Dutch Club v German Club
Sunday 3pm the Losers Play
Sunday 6pm the Winners Play

Did we not try to sign Kevin Radcliffe years ago??
Nope tried but he choose Dundee.
-
Yup, Wilko played today, and as previously observed should be enjoying his beer(s) as we speak (not revealing the score in true Likely Lads fashion). When he got sent off against Airdrie (for Andy Dowie's horrendous foul and his reaction thereto) was it Coyle who was manager?
His current assistant Sandy Stewart was, Coyle never managed Ai*drie.

Hope Andy can ruin the EFA Cup hopes of the great Satan (Jug ears Coyle).
