I was reading transfer deals today and saw all the transfers coming in and thought about Lyle Taylor both 2014 and 2015 we got him for half a season
The excitement it caused when we got him back was plain to see Lyle just suited our team and probably kept us up both seasons don’t know if any other players had the same rapport with the fans possibly Erskine loan back from the dabs and Craig from the county spring to mind and maybe Andy Dowie from Dunfermline had a good impact who else could make a good loan deal this transfer window -
Great game last night all over the park thought we played as a team with confidence and flair a massive difference from last week
I have to admit McCall has had a good transfer window some really good players added to the squad long time since we had a team and the bench looks strong as well good to have competition for every position
Special mention for Harry Milne how did we manage to sign him he is a good player going to be a great player I just hope we get to enjoy him in a jags top for a wee while another great signing Stevie Lawless aka Lawleff played so well last night seems to have got a bit of his old magic back
I can understand why Scott Tiffoney was disappointed not to be m o m as just didn’t stop from start to finish even defending when he was needed a 5 star display great to have him fit again makes a difference to the team when he plays
Even banzo had a great game we have wanted him to play like that for awhile so many good players on the night Brian Graham never stopped running 2 good striker goals and never gave Caleys defence a minutes peace I think that’s why they made so many mistakes and how selfless was Tiff for the second goal just shows the spirit in the team not getting carried away but we made the playoffs last season with a weaker team so encouraging for this season if we can learn from last weeks result and kick on ps good to see the fans getting behind the team last night after that clusterf**k of a decision by the board midweek hopefully they will start a bit of infighting and realise the mistakes they are making .
We could see the start of something really special happening if they came on board with the fans. I don’t want to hear about fans not coming back we can’t afford to lose fans and I see posters on here that have taken that decision and I fully understand their decision it must really hurt as we are not just fans we are Partick Thistle fans and lightbulb moment just realised why sometimes we are called Patrick Thistle dammed auto correct
Hopefully we can get Low and Co to take a step back and realise this is not about what they want it’s what Mr Weir wanted a club ran by thistle fans not Lows Lachies I wonder what Colin’s family make of this debacle all I can say is Mon the jags

What gets me is manager assistant manager x2 goal keeper coach plus god knows who else what are we getting in return for their services and won’t even speak about the king of Spain and the queen of spin and no I didn’t miss the A in spin top to bottom we are still rank rotten and when we going to get a response from boardroom as to how club is doing seems very quietly being overlooked as in move along nothing to see here sorry about the lack of grammar not tech savvy just just jags fan and it seems like we are sliding back to the old days

wish we could sign another like dools sadly can’t see it happening but sad when people rubbish an absolute treasure played for the team
We have had some good/ great players for Partick thistle over the years but I think it will be a long time before we see another Kris Doolan we wiz lucky we had him for so long take big swipes at him if you want just don’t knock him maybe he is a past his best as some think but every decent jags supporter when asked about the best thistle player will put doolan in their team
I hope one day we will see fit to acknowledge everything Kris did for our club and right the f##ckin disgraceful way our club let him go a sad day for a great player who gave his all for us and got shafted by the club sad days maybe that’s why we are slipping away as a club
When I see all the knockers on this site I don’t see much hope thank god I have 50 years of memories seen some good players and seen some poor players but when we knock ex players that played and breathed Partick Thistle it saddens me
I don’t know what the future is for our club but to disregard great players like Dools is a mistake feel free to tear me to bits over this post but I fear we have lost our way as a club our supporters are leaving in droves as Fraser in dads army would say we’re doomed where did go so wrong can’t all be Doolan and Erskines fault

Don’t understand this forum we should be so sticking up for jags and jambos we want the same thing justice ok we were at the bottom of the league when the world changed for ever but where did we deserve the crap that was forced on us just because we were at the wrong place at the wrong time
I now realise how sad this football loving country is self preservation at all cost I’m all right Jack there for the grace of god could have been us mentality I won’t forget all the teams that shafted both Partick Thistle and Heart of Midlothian we have stuck together
I would like to see all Jags supporters to start believing in our team we are the wronged in this pile of crap and when the judges come down in our side let’s remember Partick Thistle Heart of Midlothian and lets not forget Stranraer stood up and said not our fault this happened we were in the right to complain about the crazy decisions made at the time
Partick thistle will survive this and come back but I think us as fans will be so bitter about what. has been said about us might take a lot longer I know who supported us and who looked after there own interests we won’t forget I propose one thing 3 Js JAGS JAMBOS JUSTICE when we win this case remember some of us believed we could get justice fingers crossed we will get it

I was looking back at the footage of our winning the championship and was thinking who I would like to still be with us came to the conclusion Stevie Lawless or Lawleff as some thought what a right good player he was and I always thought if Stevie was playing well the team played well
It used to frustrate me when he was on the bench or warming up at the side of the park and Archie would give somebody else the shout and you could see Steve’s frustration at not getting on what a waste of talent left on the bench
I think that not fighting to keep Lawless was the start of our decline don’t think Archie saw his benefit to the team and when I see him doing well with Livingston it shows we lost a great player far to early would walk into any championship team and quite a few premier teams would love to see him back someday

I will miss this as I’m on holiday in Majorca I have top signed by kris and it is framed and my pride and joy gets a lot of comments from visitors to the house always gets good word for me one of the best and most decent person o dawn a thistle shirt hope he gets a great turn out a true legend going to be a good day for all hope to see him back at this club in the future

So how does Caldwell’s contract go can we not just give him notice that his contract is being terminated and tell him when his contract is up he’s gone we have nothing to lose if he downs tools it can’t be worse than the job he’s doing so far and it stops him going home to England putting his feet up and smoking a big cigar and saying cheers thistle
Team might get a bit of relief that he has no authority and start playing football which is what they were brought in for just a thought but we seem to just pay out contracts I say get him doing what is needed no leaving with a big payday might make him think we are not the soft touch that we have been in the past
As for the board maybe think on the next time you appoint a manager make it results based not because it sounds like a good appointment Caldwell’s old clubs all warned us what he was like and I think we can all agree they were right time to get rid and find somebody who can get this team playing with a bit of belief this can’t go on board has to make a decision now

I m with the second one can’t believe the board has managed to let this happen a good person like Collin Weir who gave our club so much and asked for nothing in return is an absolute disgrace we will look back and rue the day
Weir cleared all our debts put money into the youth system and probably a lot more than we know about as a jags fan for 50 plus years I thought when Mr Weir decided to help our club it was all going to be good for thistle and with all the young teams at the club we were finally going to have young players coming through the ranks for the future but not to be I can see it coming to an end what a shame
I honestly can’t see this new company taking over and being a success and I fear where we will end up the next Airdrie Clyde Gretna Third Lanark Clydebank a long list of failed clubs that were run into the ground and fans that lost their beloved football team through no fault of their own I dearly hope this is not what happens to my club as I am a bit old to support another team
I hope the board thinks long and hard about the way they take our club I don’t want them taking a massive gamble with our future I would be happy for us to just be where we are now keeping our proud team of 140 years still here for us to support and not another club on the failed list we are a much liked club and fan base and All the other clubs in Scotland would be sad to see us fail even Morton and Clyde fans would miss the rivalry we have not to mention St Mirren and Airdrie so think on be sensible we have a lot to lose here

After his decision to get rid of Dools today I think his days are numbered a shocking way to treat one of our best ever players

Hi kris absolutely gutted that you are gone I am a proud owner of one of your signed tops from2 years ago it has pride of place on my wall framed and there as a great reminder of what a legend you are to me and all the rest of the fans
I will keep it on the wall and it will only come down when I take it for you to sign when you take over as manager I so hope this happens your a true jag as you have proved over the years hope you come back to bite Caldwell’s arse next season thanks again for all the great times you gave us my fav was the ha trick against Hamilton a great night to be a jag all the best legend that you are

GRE I know what your saying I know he ended up a failure but as I said he could get the team going for the last 5 games it’s a pity he couldn’t do it for the first 33 games but I feel that we just didn’t have enough talent to beat the top teams but until last season we could hold our own against the middle and bottom teams alas the scourge of being a jag but don’t suppose you and me will ever stop supporting them and there’s a lot of us still hoping and wishing hopefully a good result tomorrow will be the wee lift us supporters are desperate for

I remember the buzz and the nerves when we played the last 5 games of the season nerves and excitement funnily enough I think we raised our game and got some great results I remember tynecastle when we came back in the second half and played hearts off the park
Alan Archibald for all his failings could get the results time after time against the bottom six teams he must have got the team lifted for the last push and apart from last seasons disaster he was very successful at it not sure if Caldwell can replicate those times but we have to hope he can
Maybe a good touch would have been get him in with Gary to gee up the team as he was part of this season I know we blame him for a lot of the crap that has happened but he was very popular with the players nd might just help with the run in I know this might not be popular with everyone but look back at the 5-6 years and see what his record was like

I think I would prefer Scott Macdonald playing for us in this league as opposed to playing against us he will score goals so better its for us rather than Falkirk or Dunfermline

A lot of clubs like to see the jags supporters coming to support the team but I can only see it dwindling away as the team support turns up but the TEAM doesn’t ti:e to stand up for the supporters maybe a petition is needed turn up at the game turn your back to the footballs silent protest and jeer these idiots who chant Archie songs
