  1. Unfortunately towards the end of last season due to a lack of numbers the Jags Trust AFC Management/board had to call time on the club and call in the administrators as the cost of running the team was outwaying what they were bringing in.

Unfortunately the team ended up in liquidation and from this point it is Jags Trust AFC no more

I would like to thank all those involved over the years , Managers like Scott Grant, David "The Fugitive" Logan, Gerry Brown and Ally McArthur/Dougs for keeping the team going for so long and also everyone who took part in playing/training and the amazing weekends away.

    Thank you all.

Also a big Thanks to the Jags Trust who sponsored the team

    JagsTrust AFC RIP :-(

  2. Following the recent plea for numbers on the forum to add some depth to the depleted squad of Jags Trust AFC (The Wearethistle.co.uk Forum Team)

The Jags steamrolled Dumbarton Supporters AFC last night with a convincing 7-2 victory to march into the Semi finals of the league cup!

well done to all and good start for some of the new boys by the sounds of it!

    Onwards and upwards!!!

  3. Media Pro Sports, who failed with a bid for Queen of the South, is considering an approach for control of St Mirren.

Surely the club should be contacting a company like this looking to invest to see what their plans are and if they would be interesting in Investing in PTFC?

  5. The Jags Trust AFC are currently on the look out for new players to help them finish the season.

The recent turnouts have been poor with the squad having to play 1 recent match with 10 men.

I used to run the team but due to work and family commitments cannot play on Sunday afternoons as its the only day I get to spend with the family.

If there are any Jags out there (and any of your friends) who would like to get involved and pull on the Red n Yellow to do battle with other supporters team in regular Sunday Afternoon competition then please contact [email protected] or visit the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/jags.trustafc and I will pass your info onto the current management duo of Gerry Brown/Ally MacArthur.

There is a general history of the site here http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/jagstrustafc/80253/History

The team play their home matches at Lochend High School, Easterhouse with kick offs usually 2pm and play in Division 1 of the Scottish Supporters Sunday AFL

They have a game this Sunday V Stirling Albion

if you are interested or know of anyone please get in contact

    cheers

    Paddy

  6. Jags Trust AFC warmed up for the coming season with an emphatic 9-0 win V Bully Wee Utd @ Broadwood on Saturday morning.

    An excellent performance by all.

The team as always are on the lookout for new players in what will hopefully be a largely successful season in the Scottish Supporters league Division 1.

check out www.jagstrustafc.co.uk for more details and if you wish to get involved email [email protected]

  7. If as it seems we are so strapped for cash we need to string players along till mid july to sign them to avoid paying wages etc and the board seem to be outwith idea's to get fresh investment in the club.

Why not put the club up for sale (like Rangers) to see who comes forward and what their plans would be?
