  1. Good news from the match preview on the BBC website

Partick youngster Steven Boyd was cup-tied last week but is available for Saturday's match at Firhill.

    Have I missed something?

According to a Hamilton fan posting on the pie & bovril forum he is a Hamilton player. Another example of lazy journalism.

  2. The continuing problem of conceding late goals cannot, after all this time, be put down to tiredness/lack of fitness. If it was, I presume someone, somewhere in the club would have the gumption to sort the problem, given that it has lasted for at least 3 seasons. If not, we have the wrong manager. I suspect that the problem is linked to the captaincy, and in particular the lack of leadership on the field. In the matches I've seen, it is by no means obvious who the captain is. There are no shouted instructions, no gesticulations or remonstrations, no fingers pointing to where the ball should be passed to. We need a stronger captain who will kick arses hard and repeatedly during the game.

I've thought this for quite a while. Definitely lack a leader on the park.

  3. Stuart received his injury playing for us and that to me means a hell of a lot. I wouldn't support a club that would've cast him adrift.

Put another way I would feel more than uneasy supporting a club that's sole player policy was based on purely commercial judgement.

    Completely agree

  4. See the Strathmore is advertising on 5pm.co.uk http://www.5pm.co.uk/restaurant/glasgow/west-end/the-Strathmore/

Describes itself as a "Contemporary, revitalised Maryhill bar".

"The Strathmore on Maryhill Road may date back to the 1870s but now looks as fresh as a daisy following a major refurbishment in the summer of 2015. As well as a complete and stylish modernisation of the interior, an airy glass extension and a sunny terrace have been added. A wood-burning stove will keep it all cosy in the winter while regular acoustic music acts and live sports mean that it will never be dull."
