Damn. I guess this means I have to double my donation for the next season then.
-
I know I'm very late for this, but is it still possible to sent over some money for a sponsorship?
-
I should use some of that for the german article on PTFC. I only added one or two small sentences after each season for the past few years

Oh, and finally, I watched the Fox Channel feed, and the commentator was an Irish guy called Brendan O'Toole who twice correctly refeered to us as Glasgow's second team.
Which of course isn't correct in the slightes. We are Glasgows ONLY team.

Well, at least it's unbeaten for 3 league games in a row now. Any match that we don't lose is a good match.
That being said: Good performance tonight. Really, the only criticism is that we didn't score any goals, except for that penalty.
-
Well.... it was fun while it lasted.
-
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

Would take a draw tbh
Got a real feeling for 0-1
Yeah, it's "one of those games", I'm afraid. Great football from Thistle so far, but no goals. This can only mean we concede a stupid goal in the 89th minute and lose this game.

i find with expat shield active and using first rows link you tend to get a reasonable watch.
firstrow is working fine for me even without expat shield. Quality is a bit low, but at least I can watch the game.

So, the match against Hearts is shown on BBC Alba, right? I hope I can get expat shield to work again. If not, I may have to rely on livetv.ru to provide me with a stream...

I was up at Firhill today and the Nomads flag has been put up on the side of the North stand. It looks good. Hanging on the inside of the wall closest to Firhill Road, so it will be able to be seen by everyone in the JHS and possibly the TV cameras.
Please, can someone take a picture of that? I really would like to see the flag.

Great result. And it's nice looking at the table now: Thistle is ahead of Celtic! HA!
2 games, no defeat. Good way to start the season!

Well, since my "other team" almost always plays in the Champions League I just can't get enough of it!
Seriously, last year both matches against Real Madrid where intense! This years matches against Barcelona where just awesome! What's there not to like about it? ^^
Yeah sure, the CL is a cash cow for the UEFA, and they are milking it. But where else can you see such great matches? And it's not only Bayern against Madrid or Barca, but for example Schalke against Galatasaray was great, too.
-
I think that's mightily over-ambitious. We'll more than likely just consolidate next season by achieving a Europa Cup spot (and go on to win it, naturally). The following season, however, we'll storm through the CL like a hurricane through a bamboo hut.
Yes, that sounds like a good plan. Also, the CL final 2015 will be held in Berlin. Shouldn't be too much trouble for me to get there.

Hope there's no German teachers on here - Munich beerfest education not all it's cracked up to be.
No, but users with german as their native language.
Anyway, this has been an incredible season for me. Bayern dominating the league, winning the league title on matchday 28 (never has any team claimed the title that early), winning the champions league... AND in this same season Thistle wins the league title as well. So, what's next? Thistle qualifying for the CL next season and then two group matches against Bayern?

You should also get more points if you win by more than four goals.
So five points if you win 5-0, 6 points if you win 6-0, and 7 points if you win 7-0. But if you get those scores away from home, you get an additional point. Six points for a 5-0 win, seven points for a 6-0 win and eight points for a 7-0 win.
A simple system that would make Scottish football much more enjoyable.
So, a team that tries to play defensively against a much better team should be punished? Let's just say, Celtic play against Dundee. Dundee tries to play offensively, because a goalles draw against Celtic doesn't get them any points at all. Celtic just laughs at Dundees attempts and gets an easy vicotry with 10-1 goals. Since Celtic was playing away, they get 11 points, and Dundee just get's nothing... so, in order to prevent this, Dundee just forfeits beforehand and the match is ruled 3-0 for Celitc, thus giving them only 3 points and Dundee still gets nothing. Yeah, that definitely would help.

Too complicated.

I'm sure I read that we're the only team in the UK that do this.
I read that as well. It was also suggested as a model that other clubs should try out to raise their attendances. I hope the "under 16 go free" will be continued in the SPL as well. It's good publicity for the club.

I wonder why he left? Anyone any ideas?
"Personal reasons". I think it had something to do with his family. But instead of wondering about how much McCall gets when players he signed get transfered, we should thank him for providing us with the players that he did.
Now I wonder how well Archie is at picking and signing players. I hope we can stay in the SPL longer than the last time.

I sure hope so. Crowd has been good the past few matches, but next week it should be awesome!
-
Great result and a great season. Much deserved League Title.
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Looks good. No better way to celebrate the League Championship than with a victory.

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSS!

skysports says it was 8875. Great. And a great result as well. 5 points in the lead with one game in hand. This looks good!
. . . And You Thought Our Away Strip Was Bad!

Hm, I wonder where they got this idea from... oh yeah, last year their biggest rivals FC Bayern München had a special strip for the Oktoberfest: You can see Schweinsteiger wearing it here.
